Lol Fedor looks so out of place in those clothes

This is the real fashion of Fedor

Food goes in here

Looks like a Gap sweater

or Banana Republic…same difference I guess

Fedor looks out of place in anything but short shorts and chesthair.

He also doesn’t know what to do with his hands (like Ricky Bobby) unless he’s fighting/wrestling a man/bear.

I think Oliviera might be worth a 20-25 dollar flier, too. Those odds are huge.

Is anyone surprised that Mousasi is the favorite to win against Babalu? Mousasi is good for sure, but Babalu is no pushover.

by chrisbboy82 on Jul 16, 2009 1:53 PM EDT up reply actions

I know Fedor is, well…Fedor. But +360 on Barnett??? That is very tempting.

by mjw2e on Jul 16, 2009 9:47 AM EDT reply actions

I was thinking a bit of the same, as a flier, before I saw Oliviera’s line.

Santiago, Babalu, Vazquez are decent dogs.

yea what the hell

is powering this Mousasi hype train…

A guy making his debut at a new weight class versus a legit top 10 opponent? I don’t see why Mousasi is the favourite either

by StevenGiles on Jul 16, 2009 10:31 AM EDT up reply actions

Babalu doesn’t cut much/any weight, so fighting at 205 isn’t really going to hurt Gegard at all here.

Plus this fight is two weightclasses below Mousasi’s previous fight and he did just fine.

A 12 fight win streak, a Grand Prix victory, and a Dream Title?

And an easy win against a former top 10 HW albeit an aging one

by Rabbit915 on Jul 16, 2009 11:16 AM EDT up reply actions

Plus starching a former K-1 Champ in a K-1 match.

by George Lucas on Jul 16, 2009 5:12 PM EDT up reply actions

He was until all the early money came in on Gegard. I also think that’s the smart money.

What about Chase Gormle as a value dog? what do you think?

by szucconi on Jul 16, 2009 10:15 AM EDT reply actions

In this day and age...

You have failed as a matchmaker if there is a wider favorite on your card than Fedor Emelianenko.

The ULTIMATE ultimate proving ground.

by Dodectagon on Jul 16, 2009 10:26 AM EDT reply actions

The lines should be a lot closer...

Babalu, Santiago, Buentello, and Lauzon have my money.

by HonorableJudgeIto on Jul 16, 2009 11:12 AM EDT reply actions

Cha-ching?

Daley, Lauzon, Javier, and Santiabo are all great underdogs, if you ask me.

by Jaydoggydog on Jul 16, 2009 11:53 AM EDT up reply actions

Hieron is a terrible matchup for Daley.

by George Lucas on Jul 16, 2009 5:14 PM EDT up reply actions

I am fucking pumped for this.

by Farthammer on Jul 16, 2009 11:34 AM EDT reply actions

Lauzon’s a good bet to me. Santiago, not so much.

by Tim Burke on Jul 16, 2009 12:17 PM EDT reply actions

I think a lot of you pumping Babalu should really reconsider. Jumping on the opposite side of HEAVY movement (Gegard opened at +160) isn’t typically the best way to make money in sports betting.

Moosassy only opened at +160 on one site. Every other site opened him as a small favorite, in the -140 range.

http://www.fourouncestofreedom.com

by Tim Burke on Jul 16, 2009 1:23 PM EDT up reply actions

Because all the other sites opened the line after the Bookmaker line had moved.

Particularly since Babalu hasn’t looked very good in his last few fights.

by George Lucas on Jul 16, 2009 5:15 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m thinking Babalu takes this one.

by TruthbeSpoken on Jul 16, 2009 2:01 PM EDT reply actions

This is a damn good lineup. Actually, I don’t really think Barnett has anything for Fedor, but some of the other matches are more interesting.

Buentello v. Yvel

Somebody is going to get knocked the hell out.

It ends in an armbar or a strangle regardless.

by capital L on Jul 16, 2009 9:25 PM EDT reply actions

Vitor and Gegard should be pretty safe.
