Today's Akiyama Update: Akiyama underwent successful surgery to repair his fractured left eye socket on Tuesday. In his latest blog entry, he says Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta visited him in the hospital immediately after the procedure, and jokes about receiving not only "Fight of the Night" honors for his UFC 100 bout with Alan Belcher, but also "Rookie of the Year" and an unofficial "award" on UFC.com. Akiyama plans to return home to Tokyo in the next few days.
