UFC Fan Expo Grapplers Quest Super-Fight Results
Promoted from the FanPosts by Kid Nate.
I know a lot of folks have been looking for the results of the grappling super-fights held at the UFC 100 Fan Expo this weekend (myself included), and they've finally turned up on ProMMA.info:
Daniel Valverde Defeated Vinny Magalhaes - (0-0) 1-0 Advantage
Rumina Sato Defeated Ulysses Gomez - Submission (Armbar)Bill Cooper Defeated Joe Stevenson - (4-2)
Jeff Glover Defeated Wilson Reis - (2-2) 2-1 Advantage
More details about each fight are available on ProMMA, but it looks like Big Nog gets at least a little bit of revenge on Vinny (via his grappling coach Valverde) after Magalhaes talked up his own BJJ as being better than Nog's on The Ultimate Fighter. Nonetheless, it was a very close match apparently, as the 1-0 advantage victory for Valverde would indicate.
It's also nice to see some positive news about Sato, even if it comes in a grappling match and not MMA (where the Moon Wolf has lost his last four consecutive bouts by submission or TKO).
Finally, as expected, the superstar grapplers in Cooper and Glover manage to outpoint the MMA grapplers in Stevenson and Reis (who was a late replacement for Fredson Paixao), although Cooper did not make good on his promise to submit Joe Daddy.

I don’t see how much of a win it is for Valverde if he won on advantage. From what I read on Sherdog Valverde was only able to get to Vinny’s half guard or something like that.
Maybe someone can clear it up for me.
Sounds like that was the only progression of position so it was enough to squeak out the win.
Any footage of these fights going around?

That’s pretty cold to invite Vinny back to the expo after cutting him
