royce wants to fight still i can tell.

surprised they never rematch him and ken shamrock in strikeforce or something like that, it would be a pretty big draw and would be a fairly evenly matched fight.

Royce v. Sak 2 was a bummer

I still get excited for these sorts of fights anyway though.

Dana telling Shogun that Coleman won is a really funny moment.

Another angie of the Henderson knockout made this worth watching.

“That man in the suit put your arm down…”

Ouch.

by Simco on Jul 13, 2009 11:21 PM EDT reply actions

That wasn’t so bad – he was just ruining the lines of his suit. Who was he, anyway? (Not GSP, his teammate.)

The ouch was because he didn’t know who Loiseau was not because he asked him to put his arm down.

Royce looks like father time is actually treating him well. Him telling Rampage to save it and holding him back was classic.

These blogs are so fucking awesome.. seriously. Totally different feel from cageside/handycam view as compared to what you see on the PPV, esp the parts with Henderson and when Lesnar goes off the deep end.. very raw, very emotional. Loved both episodes.

Nah, Jens is just rockin’ the sweater vest.

He sure is.

At first i couldn’t even recognise him. I thought to myself
Who is that guy? He’s definitely not a fighter…. hang on a minute it’s lil evil! Only he’s dressed up like a lil angel.

I really wish UFC would use that Baba O’Reilly intro instead of the gladatior crap on PPV, it’s so freakin awesome.

Yeah, they don’t even show it at the events anymore, it’s disappointing.

I like how he calls Bonnar one of his kids and he doesn’t have to worry. How much fun will that be if he gets cut?

by Cory Braiterman on Jul 14, 2009 3:13 AM EDT reply actions

Bonnar will never be cut. He may leave, but he has a job for life in the UFC.

He took Coleman lightly big time though. I loveed the bit in the fight where he was bouncing on his toes and he tried a spinning backfist then Coleman just grabbed him round his neck and took him down.

It sucks for him though if its true that he was basically exiled from his own camp so they could train Coleman, that can’t have helped him prepare for the fight

St. Pierre looks like he was in a lot of pain in that fight. All the more impressive. the most annoying thing about the Brock shit is that it’s overshadowing GSP.

by Michael Rome on Jul 14, 2009 5:29 AM EDT reply actions

I only noticed it in round 5 when he came out and wasnt quite as sharp getting his shots off, then he landed a beautiful take down and finished strong. Credit to him for not letting up for even a second.

I agree Michael – no one is talking about GSP’s win, it’s a shame that is win is overshadowed by Brock’s after fight comments
