Drew McFedries vs. Tomasz Drwal Added to UFC 103
In a fight that's almost guaranteed to produce a brutal KO finish, the heavy-handed Drew McFedries (8-5, 4-4 UFC) will meet Polish slugger Tomasz Drwal (16-2-1, 2-1 UFC) in a middleweight contest at UFC 103 in Dallas, Texas on September 19th, according to a report from MMA Weekly:
A middleweight contest between Drew McFedries and Tomasz Drawl is on tap for UFC 103 on Sept. 19 in Dallas, MMAWeekly.com has learned from sources close to the fight.
Drwal will be making his first cut down to 185 lbs for this fight, despite having had good success at 205 in his career thus far. The "Polish Gorilla" is coming off of two consecutive first-round knockouts over Ivan Serati and Mike Ciesnolevicz respectively. Although he has shown some weakness when it comes to the ground game in the past, Drwal's punching power cannot be underestimated, and McFedries won't likely be looking to take him to the ground in any event, due to his own lack of grappling acumen.
Drew "the Massacre" McFedries now trains with Matt Hughes's "H.I.T. Squad" after a well-publicized split from Pat Miletich's camp, but his UFC career has followed somewhat of a seesaw pattern. McFedries has been unable to string together consecutive wins since 2006, but the savagery of his successful performances inside the Octagon have been enough to make the Iowa native a mainstay on UFC cards.
Out of thirty-two career fights between the two of them, Drwal and McFedries have only gone to decisions a combined three times. Mainly for that reason, even if this bout ends up on the preliminary portion of the card (as it likely will), fans will probably get to see this fight on the televised pay-per-view anyway.
The current rumored card for the still yet-to-be-officially-announced UFC 103, expected for September 19th at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, now includes:
Rich Franklin vs. TBA
Mirko Cro Cop vs. Junior Dos Santos
Mike Swick vs. Martin Kampmann
Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg
Sean Sherk vs. Gleison Tibau
Tyson Griffin vs. Hermes Franca
Cole Miller vs. Efrain Escudero
Rafael dos Anjos vs. Matt Wiman
Drew McFedries vs. Tomasz Drwal

![Strikeforce star, Cung Le, tells Fight Hype he wants to fight in the UFC, and more specifically, on the UFC 139 card in his hometown of San Jose, perhaps against Chris Leben:
PC: What's your current situation as far as your Strikeforce/Showtime deal? Could the UFC sign you to fight right now?
CL: I definitely have a different contract than the other fighters. Right now, it's all up to the UFC. There may be some roadblocks with the Showtime deal and the Showtime side of things, but we will see what happens.
PC: When would you like something to be ironed out and possibly fight again?
CL: Ever since I heard that Cain [Velasquez] was going to be fighting in San Jose. I would love to be on the same card
PC: At one point, there was a poll done and a lot of people wanted to see Cung Le vs. Anderson Silva. Not only is there Anderson now, but a lot of guys have emerged in the 185-pound division as contenders, such as Brian Stann, Mark Munoz, Chris Leben and Chael Sonnen. Would you be interested in any of those names? Are those the type of fights you're looking to make?
CL: You know, on Yahoo! Sports, there is a Cung Le vs. Leben thread if there was a cross promotion. Like I said, if the fans think it is an exciting fight for them to watch, I'm all for it.
UPDATE: Chris Leben is now confirmed to be fighting Mark Munoz at UFC 138, so it looks like Cung Le will have to find another opponent.](http://cdn1.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/205493/CungLe_crop_340x234_small.jpg)
