Kimbo looks so small. Them’s some big boys.

DAMN

Roy’s gut is so big, you can see it from the front! I’m excited for this season, but more excited to see some “black on black crime” at the end.

Anybody else relieved that a high school football star is on this show. Without him, this show would be nothing. Now I can take a big breath.

Did anybody else get damn goosebumps watching that video?

The Kimbo stare down at the end!!! oh man so far away.

I feel like a geek admitting it but… YES I got goosebumps. I have NEVER been pumped up for a season of TUF. This is a first for me.

First TUF I’ve been interested since TUF 5. And not because of Kimbo.

Marcus Jones is scary

He appears to be the most athletic of the bunch. If the coaches do a good of training him he has a very real chance of winning this thing. I’m goin with the former 1st round defensive lineman to run the table.

Im looking at the height and weight of the fighters that junkie posted and Kimbo Slice is the lightest heavyweight, There are 6+ fighters that weight 260 one of them weighs 275. 2 of them are 6’6" or taller.
This show has the potential of all of these fighters being signed to the UFC.

by "Mr. NC-17" on Jul 10, 2009 3:27 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Yes. Its a great season for the big boys. Former HW winners/contestants are now LHWs. Kimbo could lose badly and move to LHW. Even if Kimbo was any good, he would still be a huge dog. Great group of HWs

Effective HYPE!

This is a great promo spot. It sells the coaches’ charisma, showcases Kimbo, and conjures the excitement of two teams cheering on their fighters. Can’t wait.

by Jaydoggydog on Jul 10, 2009 3:28 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Aw, shit.

That looked slick as hell. I can’t wait for the new season. The Kimbo stuff at the end was genius. What a tease!

I love me some Sexyama!

A lot of big guys on this show. Most are 240 or bigger, which means they are sticking at Heavyweight after the show.

I still can’t believe they put Big Country and Wes Sims on there. Nelson is a pretty bad dude, I can see him getting pretty far, if not taking it all.

Talk about turning a negative into a positive

Dana solves two problems with this show…

1)Wow to make $$$ off those who want to see Kimbo in the UFC without actually going back on previous statements and without sacrificing credibility

and

2) How to address the dearth of quality heavyweights in the division. He’s basically restocking the talent pool for his weakest division in one fell swoop.

This season may go down as one of the best marketing moves Dana has ever made.

Was that Marcus Jones or Kimbo pounding the dude near the end?

after a few rewinds and pauses, it looks like Kimbo to me

by 05vette on Jul 10, 2009 5:02 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Kimbo. The guy in the video looks to have a beard. Moreover, Kimbo is a much darker black than Jones, and the guy in the video is very dark.

by Foxskinrug on Jul 10, 2009 5:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m not so sure. Looks to me that the guy is all bald in the video and Kimbo has hair over his ears and around the back of his head. I don’t really see a beard either.

by MMAcGyver on Jul 10, 2009 5:39 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Keep looking. Theres some weird texture there, which doesn’t fit with a clean-shaven guy.

Besides, if it was a guy as light as Jones, we’d be able to see.

by Foxskinrug on Jul 10, 2009 6:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Its Kimbo

This video has got some sweet hype. CANT WAIT!!!
This will probably be one of the best seasons.

If you look carefully

when kimbo is pacing/doing the staredown, it looks like Rampage is in his corner. Nice!!!

Yea, I was trying to figure it out too….I think the white guy is the same white guy who was with Mike Van Arsdale when they were jawing about fighting Tiki.

But then again it could be one of the heavyweights.

by IncomingF5 on Jul 10, 2009 6:01 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Judging by the Kimbo video interview, I think it’s fair to say he’s on Team Rampage.

Speaking of colors, anyone else notice how both Rampage and Rashad are wearing black? Apparently someone really liked Rampage’s “black on black crime” blurb…

Hot Damn

If Jackson and Slice are on the same team, we may even see Jackson get a beard!

That was a pretty sweet advert, though. I’ve got to get me some televison.

Can't wait.

This one looks good. I still say Kimbo wins one, then gets knocked or tapped out.

That was a great commercial. The UFC is really stepping up their marketing. Honestly, I think that’s one of the biggest stories since the beginning of the year: the UFC’s marketing folks getting their shit together.

I hope they keep the song from this video for the season theme. If for no other reason, then just to give us a change from the current one. I’m getting tired of that one.
