What a great night of fights, although I was a bit let down by Faber and his broken hand(s?). Imagine what a war that would of been if he hadn’t of done that in the first round.

Jose Aldo’s win was scary, he’s more impressive every time I see him fight.

That is the best card of the year, bar none.

What a great night of fights.

Damn. I missed it. Just looking at the results seems like a good mix of super quick KOs and submissions as well as drawn out wars. Thank god for torrents! :)

The sub of the night was not just a triangle, it was a flying triangle by apparently a white belt.

Versus will replay it a dozen times (I’ve already watched it twice).

I feel bad for Cub in the fetal position with Aldo pouncing – he’s just so helpless

That was one of the dumbest arguments I’ve been involved in on this site.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that broke something in Swanson’s face.

Cub looked like a turtle

Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a fighter just totally turtle up like that before. He clearly couldn’t wait for the ref to end the fight—8 seconds was too long already.

I’d have preferred to see Banuelos/Jorgenson get FotN…but still…geat show

Agreed, that was my FOTN.

Banuelos should’ve won mustache of the night for sure though…

Hell, he’s in the running for best facial hair during the 2009 season!

But in all seriousness, I think they should have given both this fight and the Faber v. Brown fights FOTN bonuses.

They both deserved it in my opinion.

Double flying knee opened two cuts, both above and below Swanson’s eye. Awesome.

When I saw the blood, I was worried something happened to his eye, but he appeared fine afterwards.

As for the double knees, that was some pretty good hang time!

Great gif

That’s the KO of the year. I find it hard to think of anything beating that. Aldo should have dibs on the next title shot. Aldo vs Brown would be phenomenal.

The spinning backfist in Bellator...

still beats it in my book. But it’s close

Agreed.

Maybe if Swanson was out right after the knee hit, like the Irvin knee to Terry Martin, it would have taken the prize, but it’s still freakin’ awesome.

Just brutal. I want that in UFC Undisputed 2010.
