Freddy Roach
is an amazing coach. If he is teaching Andrei to box, he is all set.
And in his defense, that Fedor punch wouldnt be a KO with 16 oz gloves on.

His point is that it was a power punch and andrei was running right into it.

MMA gloves are much smaller than boxing gloves. 16 Oz gloves have much more padding which is why the fights can go 12 rounds of striking. Its much much easier to KO a guy with 5oz gloves as they are harder and fit better under someones chin to get them on the button. If a boxing shot is not perfect, it will glance off because thats the nature of a rounded glove. Hit a driver with the face of the club, then flip it over try and hit it straight with the back of the club, its much harder (the dif between flat and rounded)
No offense to Fedor, but when it comes to punching power hes no George Foreman.
