PrintWow, this is fancy. I'll have to play with this later.
Anyway, Richard and I finally figured out how to play heads up on UFC Undisputed 2009 after fumbling around. This led me to refer to the online game finding mechanism as 'some beta ass shit' so STOP CALLING ME A FAN BOY. Eugene Schelfaultamamajingo wanted details.
Our first fight was a fairly uneventful Lauzon v Franca matchup (I, Franca, sunk in the triangle choke halfway through the second). The second, pitting his Tyson Griffin against my Florian, was actually pretty spirited - until that part three seconds into the third where he sprinted into my flying left knee, painfully cascading into the canvas. It was beautiful. It was cathartic. It was every time I've disagreed with the almighty Meta Rankings (peace be upon them) rolled into one fantastic joint-cranium collision.
Oh yeah and I won the next three. I'm only updating again if I can beat him now that he's decided it'd be cute and all to be the best lightweight in the world (BJ Penn). War Franca!

Mr Wade acquitted himself well in the much anticipated Penn/Florian matchup (three rounds) – after finally listening to me saying ‘keep your damn hands up’ and my mockery of his choice of Penn (by the way, Sony censors BJ’s first name in chat, so that’s fun), he pretty much matched me blow for blow on the feet and kept me in check on the ground. He was, in my mind, probably on his way to a decision.

I’ve never been a fan of fighting games (perhaps because I suck) and this is the first one I’ve owned since Street Fighter II on the SNES.

Okay, looking at the striking stats, you had the decision locked down. Only things I beat you in were left kicks, sweeps and transitions (17-18 on transitions). 36-24 on right punches, advantage you. 35-16 right kicks. 11 Takedowns.

I don’t get why I can’t pull the flying armbar when I am being collar tied, as opposed to when I am collar tying (how’s that for conjugation?). It should be a defensive maneuver, considering you can do it whilst getting punched in the face.

yesterday...
NO BS… it happened 6 times in two hours. Overall its happened over a dozen times (as i struggle to stay at .500 and above) Always after or during a sub….(flying armbars hurt feelings)
I’ve decided to just not fight people with blatantly manipulated records. If dude hasn’t lost at least 10% of his fights, just skip it.

I just had two more people pull this on me. It’s tough to keep your record up when all of your losses count, but only 75% of your wins do.

I don’t know if it was lag or not, but my timing was very very off. Never hit a single transition properly, several times I tried to counter and I backed out of range before the strike went off. I also learned I cannot clinch worth shit on the right side, I just cannot flick the stick to the left well enough.
I don’t really mind losing if it is competitive, but every single one of those matches was a slaughter.

Just played online for the first time
Won my first two matches, both by submission with Forrest Griffin. I wonder at what level people finally realize that constant head kicks and superman punches don’t work when you don’t mix it up a little. Or maybe they do against most people, I guess they both did have winning records. Good news is that neither of them quit.
It’s always nice when they don’t quit. Especially when you win by submission. People seem to get particularly upset about tapping out.

damn, i miss you bastards. my computer AND ps3 broke around the same time(a couple months ago). I’m as poor as Ken Shamrock and on my mother’s laptop. However, my friend let me borrow his ps3 for a week right when Undisputed came out because his wife was leaving for the army a week later and did not want to make her hate him in the meantime. so I had 7 days with this game. I career moded a lightweight Judoka/Boxer and managed 50+ online games in that time period. I ended up 42-13 with 37 tkos and 5 submissions. Most of the kos were via ground and pound in the first round and all of the submissions were Damian Maia against Anderson Silva in the first not to mention about 6 more in which the other person quit. My losses were probably 6 flash kos, 3 decisions, and 4 ass whoopings. I look forward to whooping your asses in Undisputed 2012 when I can afford another PS3.

Yep. Really frustrating since he was actually pretty good and I played really well to transition into the choke. Now I’m playing against someone with a 148-92 record. Good lord.

I never do that. But I’d love for some kind of permanent UFC Undisputed 2009 discussion post to be up all the time. Find games, brag, challenge the site, etc etc etc.
Special tournaments for the PPV’s aside, there really should be a permanent forum.
I would enjoy that.
