Skill wise, he’s bringing a lot more problems to the table than everybody that I’ve fought so far. Skill wise in fighting, the best guy that I’ve fought so far," he says,

"BJ Penn, Matt Hughes, Koscheck and like all those guys… Thiago Alves has beaten those guys. So for me fighting Thiago Alves is something very exciting for me because he has beat those guys and he has beat them even in… I would say, in a better fashion that I did."

Yuppers, this is my main event for 100. Lesnar/Mur is just a bonus :)

I’m a huge GSP and Alves fanboy so I can’t decide who to root for here. I have a feeling Alves will take it by TKO stoppage for some reason.

I don’t think Alves is more skilled than Penn. Stylistically it’s a tougher fight for GSP, but Penn is more skilled than Thiago in most if not all areas of the game

Yeah I think Alves would have a harder time with Penn than GSP.

I concur.
It’s true that Alves beat many of GSP stronger opponents in a more dominant fashion. But GSP is the man and I’m sure his skills combined with the master gameplan will decide this fight.
