The UFC Releases Frank Lester and Mike Ciesnolevicz After TUF Loses
The UFC has released Mike Ciesnolevicz, after losing to Drwal in the first round via TKO, splitting his UFC record at 1-1.
He is looking into fighting again soon, with the eventual hopes of returning to the UFC after stringing together a couple of wins outside the promotion.

Frank Lester received his formal release from the UFC shortly after losing via first round submission to Nick Osipczak during this past Saturday’s live finale for the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter.

Poor Mike C
The dude steps in on short notice to fight a heavweight, and a freakin huge one at that, and he wins…and they won’t give him another shot after just one loss?
Perhaps him not making weight had something to do with it as well.
Mike Ciesnolevicz on the UG:
No wonder everyone hates Pavia and maybe he is uncorking a bottle of champagne with money he stole off a fighter. Thank you to everyone who does bad mouth that shit bag on here and expose him.
I did miss weight and its on me for getting so heavy (245lbs) but i was coming off a heavyweight fight, had not fought 205 in 15 months and a knee injury so it is what it is. I lost 22 lbs the last 24 hrs and i cramped pretty bad and felt like shit the day of the fight. I will never attempt a weight cut like that again. That kind of stuff takes years of your life. I actually still almost a week later dont feel 100 percent recovered. I started cutting from about 15 lbs higher than i normally do. Its business, i performed like shit regardless of the circumstances. I was embarassed and still am.
I hope the UFC gives me a rubber match down the road and i hope i get another fight with Tomasz also. He did his job but that was far from the best Mike C out there.
Regardless fighting and winning in the UFC was my goal when i was 15 yrs old and i did it and i feel accomplished because i fought my way into the UFC through 21 fights to get there. I didnt get on a reality show and shit in someones pillow case or whatever.
Thanks guys!
More:
Drwal was really strong but then again i felt really weak so im not sure how to gauge it honestly. I wasnt worried about his hands really until the shot at the end in a flurry had me seeing double before i took the knee. It was all down hill from there.
Fighting in the UFC was always a dream of mine. I gotta thank Dana White, Joe Silva and the whole UFC staff and also Monte Cox for making it come true. What the UFC has done for the sport of MMA is amazing. I have no hard feelings for being released, like i said i didnt perform and shit happens. I talked with Joe Silva and he has been nothing but professional to me. Its all good guys.

Good class coming from Mike, seems pretty down to earth. Hope he gets his shit together and gets a few wins so he can get back in the UFC. I’m not even a fan of the guy, but after reading that, I’m rooting for him. I acredit his “I didn’t have to get on a reality show and shit in anyones pillow case” line for most of that.
