I almost posted in a random thread because this seems like news that’s so big it needed to be mentioned somehow.
thanks and rec’d
R.I.P.
I know this has nothing to do with mma
But I just had to post it, cause he’s an icon that influenced and inspired millions throughout the years.
Also, an interesting note:
He’s an mma fan and he attended UFC 84.

thanks for posting it. didn’t anderson talk about being a huge fan of his during one of his countdown shows? i seem to remember him busting out some of the moves.
anyone over the age of 30 who won’t admit to idolizing this guy as a kid, is LYING.

thats actually from urijah's twitter..
i’m not sure if he’s really serious though..
If he wasn’t, i sorta lost a bit of respect for him.. Making jokes about someone that just passed away isn’t cool at all..

Crazy, first time I’ve seen that. Also listened to his version of Ain’t No Sunshine today. Surprised Anderson didn’t use that (other than the complete removal of badassness from the song).

whose version, Michael Jackson or Anderson Silva?

yes in deed
I do like both versions DMX and MJ – I just wasn’t sure if you were saying that Anderson did a version of his own.

I always like celebrities more when I find out they like the same sports that I do.

Great post Weo!
I was hoping someone in here was going to do something like this. Definitely an event that is worthy of being recognized, even on an MMA site. And it just goes to show how influential he really was.
I don’t shed tears for people I’ve never met, but I was definitely shocked, and a bit sad. I hope he finds the peace he was looking for.

Great Artist. I can't say I'll miss him though...
too much strange behavior, baby dangling, etc.

It’s sad that the younger generations know him for all the strange things that happened in his later years, because people will crack their jokes and say whatever they want, but no matter what he did, it shouldn’t overshadow his accomplishments in the music industry. The man is a legend. R.I.P.
Well, what really left a bitter taste in my mouth was the cheap shot he took at the Beatles by buying out such a stock of Lennon original works and keeping it from McCartney and the public. Low, really low.

I don’t know if theres any truth to this, but I heard he was supposed to sign the rights over to McCartney in his will…but since this was so sudden I doubt he even has a will. Hopefully it’s all sorted out.

Maybe its just me, but if you mess with little kids – I dont care who you are, you should be beat to death. So Id say that overshadows his accomplishments and is my tie in to mma.
Yep, in the spirit of Kat Williams, if you touch little boys’ (or girls’, for that matter) booty holes, I’ll be happy when you’re dead.

My big question was if MJ understood adult sexuality. He was so stunted emotionally, I wouldn’t be surprised if he just had everyone over for sleepovers. He had such a screwed-up childhood, he may have used his money to run away from growing up.
Or, y’know, he diddled little kids. I have no proof either way.

No one ever mentions how the parents basically pimped their kids – if these parents truly believed that MJ sexually abused their kids why did they take the money? I don’t see how money could replace the damage done to your child. I would want the person who abused my child to pay for their crime.
There should really be a law against people having the ability to pay off someone they’ve wronged.
