Watch Out Tito: Lee Murray Freed by Moroccan Court

Lee Murray From ESPN:

Lee Murray, the MMA star accused of masterminding the biggest cash robbery in history, has been released from a Moroccan prison cell to freedom, his lawyers in Morocco and London said Wednesday.

The surprise move came after a hearing before the Moroccan Supreme Court in which a panel of judges upheld Murray's claim that he is a citizen of the North African nation. British prosecutors were trying to extradite the fighter on charges that he masterminded the Feb. 22, 2006 robbery of a cash warehouse on the outskirts of London, making off with a record $92 million in cash.

Abdellah Benlamhidi, Murray's Moroccan-based attorney, told ESPN that his assistant visited the maximum security Sale prison in Morocco's capital city of Rabat on Wednesday afternoon and was told Murray was gone.

"Lee was freed," he wrote in an e-mail.

So this is the mind-blowing middleweight Dana was talking about? Shit, UFC has some pull.

UFC 110 Morroco

Ring girls in thongs, Lee could bank roll the after party, this is win win win. It is amazing knowing he has $30,000,000 (had to type it out) in CASH.

Lee will fuck up and try to leave the country, when he does he will be grabbed and shipped to the UK.

To be fair

Dexter kills murderers…. so to say that – iss a little harsh.

To say government/law is ridiculous on the other hand – you couldn’t be more right.

Being told he was “Gone” means they murdered him. No way he got released, he just attempted an escape about 3 weeks ago. Who honestly thinks he was released? His Lawyer didn’t even know it was happening.

I hope so bad he starts fighting again. It would make him look innocent because why would he fight if he has 30 mil stashed somewhere

There are a bunch of threads on the UG about him right now and they have some epic stories. Apparently while he was on the run, he would actually post on the message board. I mean, you just can’t make that kind of stuff up. He’s MMA’s version of John Dillinger.

commenting on youtube videos of his fights and I have reason to believe reading the posts on BE about himself.

Nobody epic enough to get away with $92,000,000 in cash deserves to be in jail…

I’m interested to see what happens in this case.

Does he have to stay in Morocco then? If he leaves the country, any country that is on friendly terms with the U.K. could snatch his ass up and send him to the U.K.

Honestly, that kind of sucks. I wouldn’t want to be stuck in fucking Morocco.
