bring back hd net to time warner
i am starting a petition to get hd net on time warner. hd net is exposing mma organizations of a national level. this is a bad direction for out sport.hd net also exposed k-1 to allot of people also. they have a really good line up including inside mma( a discussion show with bas rutten, kenny rice and special guests. they have the dream shows, senguku, k-1, xfc, m-1 global, ring of fire, mfc snd s lot more indy shows

With Time Warner pulling out I no longer can get HD net. I don’t want HD TNT, or any of that other crap. I want to watch MMA.
Time Warner is awful
I actually twittered Mark Cuban and he responded that I should send complaints to http://twitter.com/AlexTWC and to get my friends to do the same. If you happen to have a twitter account feel free to send him a message (tweet?).

thanks for the support
here is the petition re-written
Recently Time Warner Cable has decided to drop Hd Net and Hd Net Movies from their channel lineup. This comes as a devestating blow to many of us since we didn’t have any notice. Rumors have been circulating around for over a month and i even called a representative from Time Warner Cable and asked if it was true. She said that they recieved no notice about the future plans between the two. About two weeks later, Hd Net was dropped from their line-up.
Hd Net is the premier fighting channel on the market. They support MMA, K-1 Kickboxing, and pro wrestling. This is the only channel that is exposes the smaller promotions to give them mainstream exposure. I believe that Hd Net really supports real MMA and combat sports and is not in it to cash in and leave. That is why i ask all of the mma supporters to unite and sign the petition to get Hd Net back to TWC.
Some of the shows that Hd Net carries are: Inside MMA (an all MMA discussion show with hosts Bas Rutten and Kenny Rice)
M-1 Global (countries battle it out all over the world to see who has the best team)
K-1 (the worlds best strikers battle in some of the most entertaining fights that you could imagine)
Strikeforce(world’s elite fighting organization)
Dream (the premier fighting orginazation from Japan)
Sengoku (some of the best grapplers that you will ever see from Japan)
Affliction (shows the replays of their ppv events as well as the live under card)
Hd Net covers local federations like the XFC (who signed Bobby Lashley),MFC out of Canada, Lou Neglia’s Ring Of Combat out of the NY/NJ area,XFL,Sportfight, and Adrenaline MMA. This channel gives spotlight to future champions.
MMA has come such a long way, Support the fight. Sign the petition
thanks again for the support, i hope that we can impact their decision
I see it more as a HDNET decision than a Time Warner decicsion. HDNET was the one unwilling to continue the relationship under existing terms. I’d suggest directing the petition towards HDNET.
http://mmapayout.com/2009/05/hdnet-vs-time-warner-imbroglio-over-tiers-not-fees/
When the HDNet vs Time Warner situation broke, it was assumed in many quarters that the dispute in some way was linked to the licensing fees associated with programming. This is often a battlefield between content providers and cable companies, with Viacom being a recent example of this trend. That seems to not be the case with HDNet. I’ll ironically link over to the OC Register to find out what the nature of the problems are:
But according to HDNet owner Mark Cuban (yes, he’s also the owner of the Dallas Mavericks), the deal wasn’t about the usual increase in carriage fees, which is the money companies pay per subscriber to offer a network’s TV channels. (Remember the whole Viacom fiasco when Viacom’s fee increase nearly resulted in the loss of Jon Stewart, Sponge Bob and MTV?)
"No, the exact opposite. We cut the fees considerably," said Cuban, via e-mail.
Interestingly, Cuban says he was trying to get HDNet to become part of Time Warner’s digital basic cable package so that all customers could access the channel. HDNet Movies would remain on the special HD tier. The new deal would be "considerably less than what they were paying to have both on the (HD) tier," he said.
Cuban looks to have been making a play to make his HDNet channel a more mainstream outlet on Time Warner’s system. The lower tier would mean a bigger subscriber base, which would be good for K-1, Sengoku, Dream, MFC , XFC and other MMA programming on the channel by virtue of more eyeballs. The fallout already seems to be taking place in the battle between the two, as HDNet has already been yanked from systems in Orange County, California ahead of the end of the month mandate from Time Warner.
so it seems like time warner still backed out of the deal. hd net is available as basic cable for at&t u-verse. whatever the case is, i want to see hd net on twc and every available service. the exposure is great for our sport and that is what it is about. thanks for the reference. let’s make something happen
