For the first time ever, Dana White does a video blog for a WEC event. In this case, it's WEC 41: Brown vs. Faber II.
Very excited to see White add some of his muscle to promoting the WEC. I've had my issues with the vlogs, but perhaps I can amend my position slightly if he's going to be sharing the wealth, so to speak.
Oh yeah, and Kimbo Slice makes an appearance. Good for the WEC, not so good for Strkeforce this week.

…. to put his first “interview” in the middle of a promo for the wec show. two birds with one stone
as for the wec show…
didnt even realize cerrone was fighting on this card. anyone know the timetable for varner’s return?
sucks i’ll be traveling and wont be able to watch it.
Yeah that really surprised me. LOL I had to check on what vid I was watching again. Kimbo seems pissed! lol! So at the end Dana has some major hyperbole or real talk?

This^
What a coincidence though. First WEC Vlog EVER…and they decide to put Kimbo in there. Me thinks Dana just wanted to use WEC as an excuse to show Kimbo lol.
*High 5’s Dana!!!

I really want to know what this big deal he was working on in LA is, usually when he says stuff like this it’s really minor but for some reason I get the feeling this time it’s actually something of substance. Could be way off base, maybe it’s another line of toys, but I hope not.
I agree, it’s something real big this time. Could possibly be looking at some sort of weekly or bi-weekly show on Spike. Right now, thats the only thing I could really see changing MMA moreso than the UFC, because of the simple fact of more fights, more often = more low end professionals getting signed for their chance at the UFC.
I actually hope it’s something else, but thats just me, I don’t think it’s time for a weekly show. Maybe in 3+ years.

Deal is being made in LA.....
Could it be another TV deal or possibly some sort of Movie deal? Not sure how a movie would work, but just trying to think logically here. Could he finally have cemented a major network deal?

properly signing Fedor.
At the end of this Vlog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_I7lX5nVY0&feature=channel_page from UFC 98. Someone wrote “sign Fedor” on the sidewalk, as Dana leaves the gameshop. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it seems kinda of stage to me… And now this whole – “news that will change MMA & the UFC forever”.
My money is on the UFC has finally signed Fedor. But hey? I´m just guessing. But the agian, i was right about them signing Akiyama.
btw: sorry about the english, i´m danish.
I will.
Though, I’ll have one less thing to complain about.

listen to the whole carmichael dave interview posted in the comments for that video. i dont think it’s fedor. and i know i’m opening up a huge can of worms by asking this… but how exactly would signing fedor change the ufc forever?
i would lean towards another big sponsor or deal like the video, toyline, gyms, etc
Its not Fedor…
Fedors countdown didnt even register a neilson rating. Signing him makes no difference in terms of business.
Getting Kimbo on tuff will produce more for the bottom line than signing fedor. Dana’s gonna do everything he can to sign him but Fedor aint changing shit in the UFC or MMA.
