I like a parlay on Dollar/Lester.

Entertaining Night Of MMA
Looks to be an entertaining night of free MMA, although I don’t see a whole ton of betting value at the current lines.
I like quite a few of the dogs. I like Diaz and Blackburn as favorite, but wish the line was a little better. The dogs I like to varying degrees, but I like…
Clay Guida
Kevin Burns
Ross Pearson
Melvin Guillard
Frank Lester
Cameron Dollar
I would only play about half of these dogs.
Maybe it’s me, but I see Guillard getting smashed unless he gets a lucky strike right out of the gate.

I mostly agree, but at two to one I like him a little. But you are right, of Melvin’s seven losses, six have come by way of sub. I still like Guillard to push the pace and I think he has about a two to one chance of winning.
Guillard, by virtue of his speed and power, will never be completely out of a fight. But Tibau is huge, strong, has dominating top control, good submissions, and while his technique isn’t the greatest, hits like a truck. It’s just a lot for anyone to overcome, especially someone who admits to only working their ground game for defence and scrambles…

Assuming Damarques and Andre win, where do you think they rank in all time TUF champions? I’m leaning towards the bottom near Mac Danzig.
It worked for about 30 seconds a couple of minutes ago but now I’m just getting “Video failed to load”.
Same at the UFC site though.

I'd go for Guida if he changed his name to Guido
And I can’t see the weigh-ins! Nuts!
God dammit Diego...
it’s so hard to take you seriously with your “super intensity” and your stevia…etc

The thing is...
He’s always like that. I don’t think it’s an act anymore. I think he is legimately that intense and possibly a bit insane.
I never said it was an act...
I just…can’t take the guy seriously

Sorry
Didn’t mean to imply that you did say that. Was a comment I was making, not an argument.
Sorry if I wasn’t clearer

I wasn't take offense...
just saying. I don’t think it’s an act…I just don’t dig it…

I actually think it is an act, but he’s convinced himself that his act is the real thing.
But I completely agree, it’s impossible to take that kid seriously. I remember a kid like that getting in my face at high school, and I couldn’t stop smiling. Of course he punched me in the face right after that and it totally hurt. The little bshite could hit.
Dude if he walks out and starts grunting “YUS” over and over like John Nord again, I’ll love him forever.

Dumb newbie question
When the weight class is 155, and the guy weighs 156 at weigh-in, how has he not missed weight?
Does 155 really mean 156? Is there an agreed allowance over the weight class? If so, why not just make the weight class that? I mean, if the guy weighs 156 and he’s allowed to wrestle 155, it’s not really a 155 pound weight class, is it?
The only experience I bring to it is high school wrestling, and if you’re over 0.1 on a digital scale, you’ve missed weight and can’t wrestle that class for that meet or tournament. I just don’t get letting guys who’ve missed weight by a full pound compete like they made the weight. They didn’t.
So, what’s the rule on that in UFC? Miss by no more than a pound and all’s OK?

Same as with boxing. There is a 1 pound allowance in non-title fights.

It’s technically an athletic commission thing but even unsanctioned overseas fights tend to follow the same rule
