Going to UFC 100?

I don't know if this might be a bit premature, but i was wondering how many people on the bloodyelbow are going to UFC 100. My friend and I just ordered our tickets for the event and the expo, and are staying in the Tropicana. If there is a good amount of people, maybe we should all pick a place to meet up and have a few drinks. Tell me what you all think.

We are going to be pressuring the Bloody Elbow nation to do meet ups. If anyone’s got good ideas about how to coordinate them, let us know.

I think BE should organize like viewing parties for numbered events..

Have people bring beer and stuff and have an small entrance fee to cover ppv costs and maybe even earn a few bucks to cover other expenses..

by Anton Tabuena on Jun 18, 2009 12:13 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

"a small entrance fee"

Typo sorry.

I think that would work right? Like announce it in the fanposts and ask how many in the area are willing to meet up there.. I think people would have a bigger chance of going if it was officially organized by BE rather than random peoples doing it.

Not sure though. Just my 2c.

by Anton Tabuena on Jun 18, 2009 12:22 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Or maybe

A staff guy puts up a fanpost, then those members who would volunteer to host these viewing parties could comment then the post gets updated on the details on where to meet, what to bring etc..

If it all goes well people the future fanposts could look like this..

Bloody Elbow Viewing Parties:

For people in the Denver Area..
Host: BJJDenver
Address: blahblah bar, Denver

For people in DC..
Host: Someone in DC
Add: #69 blah drive, Washington DC
Bring beer chips and a few bucks.

You get the idea right, something like that. I just think the whole thing would get more traction if it was an official BE post that lists the details from those who want to host and attend these things..

I have a great “betting game” that I created that is run with an excel spreadsheet if anyone is interested in using one at their viewing party.

Any BE readers/lurkers going to the NYC Viewing Party...

…at Radio City Music Hall Hosted by Frankie Edgar & Matt Hamill? I’ve seen that 70’ HD screen a few times and it’s very cool…

I’ll be there.

Section 225 Row J. $200 tickets that I paid $415 for on stubhub. It’s for my wife and my anniversary (yes she is a HUGE MMA fan).

I figured I would pay the extra ticket price since I got a room at Mandalay Bay for $50/night!

I’m there! My buddy and I had planned this since it was rumored UFC 100 was going to be in Vegas! We have some hotties going with us but they’re not going to the fight (after all). I HAVE 2 TICKETS FOR SALE – SEC. 225 ROW G IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED! A friend of mine and his girl were unable to make it.

It's a little bit Captain Obvious.

If you see Mark Coleman in person, drop $5 on the floor and watch the fun as he tries in vain to bend down and pick it up.

I will be there, cant wait should be awesome. Also got tickets to the after and preparty, getting a tour of Xtreme Couture gym, UFC expo for both days, and will probably goto the weigh ins. If anyone is interested, I may be willing to sell one of the expo days (probably Saturday) and maybe the preparty (which is on Friday).

There's an all-female MMA show in town the night before.

And the all-comers grappling tourney day before.

Yes, I shall be going, customs officers willing.

Don’t forget the Fedor chant.

by Ahhhoki on Jun 18, 2009 2:50 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Don’t be that guy. The Fedro chant plan is extremely disrespectful. I wonder if people would be behind going to Affliction 3 and chanting UFC after Fedro wins? It is the same thing.

A man should never waste an opportunity to keep his mouth shut.

I'll be @ Spearmint Rhino.

Just ask the strippers for Steak Knife. They’ll know what it means.

I'm going

I haven’t gotten a ticket yet so I’m not sure where I’ll be sitting yet but I’m definitely going. If anyone has an extra (I only need one) I’d be interested in it, feel free to email me at richiemc_99@yahoo.com. If not I’ve got my eye on a couple ebay auctions.

Yeah, I want to try and get one before I get to Vegas, I don’t want to be left scrambling at the last minute.

The best way to get good seats is to buy them with a fight club membership.

I hear a lot of people bitch about it, but I love the fight club. So worth $82 a year.
