Jason "Mayhem" Miller vs. Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza 3 on DREAM.11
Promoted from the FanPosts by Kid Nate
Jason "Mayhem" Miller confirms it on his twitter page:
I'm fighting Jacare in September. Can't wait.
Jason Miller and Jacare Souza met for the first time back in DREAM.4, with Jacare winning by decision. Their middleweight champ, Gegard Mousasi, moved up in weight which prompted Dream officials to set up another fight between the two for the vacated belt at DREAM.9. The fight ended in a 'no contest' because of an illegal kick by Miller left Jacare unable to continue.
The two will collide for a third time for the still vacant, Dream Middleweight Championship. DREAM.11 is scheduled for September and will also host the semi-finals of both their Super Hulk Tournament, and their Featherweight Grand Prix.
Rumored DREAM.11 card so far:
Dream Middleweight Championship:
-Jason "Mayhem" Miller vs. Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza
Dream Featherweight Grand Prix Semi-Finals:
-Bibiano Fernandes (5-2)
-Joe Warren (2-0)
-Hiroyuki Takaya (11-6-1)
-Hideo Tokoro (22-16-1)
Dream Super Hulk Tournament Semi-Finals (Open Weight):
-Gegard Mousasi (23-2-1) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (6-4)
-Ikuhisa Minowa (42-30-8) vs. Hong Man Choi (2-2)

Good - I was so anxious about this fight (I'm not familiar with Jacare at all)

Gegard Mousasi (23-2-1) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (6-4)
I have Mousasi by some kind of choke.
Thinking north south guillotine, maybe a similar Machida arm triangle or a good ole RNC.
Any reason that DREAM eliminated soccer kicks and have the eliminated stomps as well? Man I miss Pride rules and ring.
For the safety of the fighters is the reason why Sengoku and DREAM did away with the stomps to the head and soccer kicks. Knees to the head are still allowed though.

Steroids and drugs are not allowed, also, they just don’t have an athletic commission to test the fighters. Sengoku is planning on creating one though.

Do you have any idea how much I would love Sengoku for that?

I'm sorry
but that’s garbage.
The misinformation people have about steroids is astounding. IMHO, if an athlete is informed, cerebral, and safe about steroid use, then by all means they should be able to use them.
Fuck all the people who say that steroids are an unfair advantage; anabolic agents, just like any other drug (medical drug, not psycho active/ what have you illegal drug) has it’s health risks and benefits. If you need a good example of a dominant athlete who does just fine without steroids, just look at Big Papi (David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox player for the baseball uninformed).
Steroids just have a completely unreasonable negative stigma attached to them in America.

I can't be the only one....
that thinks Miller in the fight pick is winding up to kick the guy in the nutsack.
As much as I am a fan of Miller....
I think Jacare is the future. He has so much potential it is scary. We all know how slick he is with the submisssions but his ground and pound is what really impresses me! I really think he just got unlucky against Gagard with that upkick to the jaw. We can all agree that was kind of a freak knock out.
Am I the only person who really couldn’t care less about this fight? Their first fight was solid but nothing interesting enough to make me want to see it again. I’d prefer it if Miller would just go away…

I enjoy their ground game immensley.
I thought the first fight was amazing, and haven’t seen the second yet (this weekend), but am already down for a third.
I have no problem seeing rematches between competitive fighters. If no one gets squashed then lets do it again! As long as fighters keep training and improving, the fights will be slightly different each time.
