Snapshot of the Day: Demian Maia and the Gracies

"It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to have breakfast with Royce, Rickson, Royler and Renzo (not pictured)," Maia said. "Four guys that I always considered as my idols in jiu-jitsu."

Funny part is when Royce and the Gracies were on InsideMMA.

During the Split Decision portion of the show, the question was asked about who their favorite Brazilian fighter was between either Anderson Silva or Lyoto Machida.

The other two Gracies answered Silva while Royce said Demian Maia. Greatest. Moment. Ever.

I have not seen that, but it sounds like I should. Do you have a link?

Every video I found of it left it out. It was on the Split Decision segment at the very end of the show.

I’ll keep looking, though.

Whhhaaaaat! I’m so jealous that I didn’t get to be in this room full of jiu jitsu awesomeness.

If forced to spend 15 minutes in a room...

…with this bunch, and your only goal was to not get subbed (you can run around the room, you can throw strikes if you wish- just know all 4 are actively trying to sub you, and they’re relentless) how many times do you think you would get subbed?

I think I’d get subbed 175+ times in 15 minutes, but this whole situation is just kind of absurd.

Zero times. I’d crap and piss myself. No one wants to submit a person who has crapped and pissed themselves.

Royler always looks like he just yelled out the winning answer on a game show in pictures.
