I’ve got a soft spot for Davis, but he got outworked by a younger less experienced fighter…and there is nothing he can do that would lead me to believe a rematch would be any different.

I made alot of money on Hardy yesterday, I hope he keeps getting better, he’ll be a marketable bad guy.

I had bet on Davis, and rooted hard for him, but just look at the faces of the two combatants: Davis clearly got his ass kicked.

It was a close fight, sure. But look at their faces. Davis took way more damage. And he’s the idiot who fell back for a leglock when he had dominant position control in round three. If he doesn’t fall back for that leglock he may have been able to stay on top and grind out the decision.

Davis is delusional. I don’t even know how it wasn’t unanimous. Marcus Davis never had Hardy in danger. Every time he was on top, he didn’t do a ton of damage. On the feet, it wasn’t particularly close. Davis is a cry baby. He whined about Hardy hyping the fight and now he’s crying about the defeat. Dude, it’s the fight game. You hype and sell fights. It’s nothing new. Go home and ice your face.

Yeah, yeah Marcus. Hardy’s Jedi Mind Tricks have clearly muddled his brain. Seriously, though I’ve been a fan of hisin the past, a grown man shouldn’t be so easily baited by teasing. The weak minded lose. Hardy was obviously having a good time with the whole thing. Punk’d! Marcus thinking he won the fight is just delusion, and delusion won’t help him get any better. He won the grappling side by a slim margin, but got flat owned in the striking. When you stagger to your feet, bleeding, and wearing an Easter egg on your face…you lose. I didn’t think Hardy looked as good here as he did against Gono, in particular, but with some improvements in grappling, and more experience, he should contend eventually. I’d like to see him against Condit next…
