WEC 41: Follow Twitter for Tickets

Wec_2041_20faber_20vs_20brown_202_20poster_medium

Ariel Helwani gets the information from Reed Harris, WEC general manager:

"My goal is going to be that prior to the June event in Sacramento, I am going to go somewhere with a bunch of WEC gear and send out a Tweet and see how many people show up," Harris said.

When asked if that gear includes free tickets, Harris added, "That is more than possible. That is going to happen."

Tickets were first offered to Sen. John McCain and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger through Tweets. There has been no reply from either.

"I will keep hitting John McCain up," Harris said. "I am a big fan of McCain. The stand he took against MMA, I understood at the time. I don't think that he did it with any kind of malice. I think he truly believed that the sport needed to be regulated. And I think, based on his actions, it actually ended up helping our sport becoming mainstream."

he’ll send out a message that says like “going to (address) first 4 people to say they saw this twitter get a pair of tickets to the show”

I’ll be the last holdout. Fucking Twitter. Facebook was bad enough (I deleted mine). I won’t be getting on this trend.
