HDNet and Comcast Finally Getting Along
Along with many other Comcast subscribers, my inability to subscribe to HDNet has left me rather bitter with the cable company. I live in a town where Comcast is the only major provider, as they bought out the No. 2 company in the town.
Ugh.
What to do? HDNet offers so much great content, but I have been unable to watch any of it on TV! I decided to contact both HDNet and Comcast to try and get to the bottom of it this whole issue.
Here are a couple of quotes from both sides:
“We are rolling out on Comcast… Denver, Chicago, etc. are already done,” HDNet CEO Andrew Simon told me during a recent e-mail correspondence.
“As areas have been moving channels from Analog to Digital, more bandwidth is available,” Eliason told me. “For every channel that shifts, we can add 10-12 digital or three HD. HDNet has been added to many areas.”

Are you a current HDNet subscriber? If so, what cable company do you have? Are you a Comcast subscriber looking to subscribe to HDNet?
There are probably a couple of you who are Comcast subscribers who already have the ability to watch HDNet. If so, where are you located?

I feel bad for those that can’t get HDNet and are MMA fans.
From what I know, Comcast and HDNet reached on a deal about a year ago but it is taking Comcast a while to get out to all their customers.
I have had DishNetwork and Time Warner in Southern California, and they have both offered HDNet for quite some time. While you are at it, make sure to get Showtime as well for the FULL MMA experience! =)
Good to hear. I just moved from Brooklyn (Time Warner) to Boston (Comcast) and it’s been brutal not having my HDNet fix.
I have FIOS
and I’m in seattle. I dropped comcast because of the lack of HDNet and ESPNU, plus I get so many weird channels…and ESPN Deportes that are all awesome. I also get HD DVR for what I was paying with before. Death to Comcast!
I'm in Alexandria VA
and on Comcast — can’t get HDNet.

For Those That Have Comcast and CANT Get HDNet...You Have Options
1) DishNetwork
2) Direct TV
3) ATT U-Verse
4) Verizon FiOS
Thank You,
=)

Yes we know, some people chose not to get satellite service though. Where I live Comcast also has the only high speed internet service too(DSL ends 3 miles up the road from me) and it would be a mess to get rid of cable but keep cable internet, not to mention my mother had dish service and we all hated it. It’s easier for me to just wait for Comcast and HDnet to get off their collective asses and get it done.
Where are you from? I live in Maryland and Comcast is pretty much my only option as well… sucks having to watch cough streams cough
I cant wait til it comes around to md
I live in Colorado Springs
And now Comcast is carrying HDnet but it was too little, too late for me…. I already dropped them for Direct TV.
I live in Philly and have Comcast and we don’t have HDNet. But we’re always last to get everything because Comcast has a monopoly in our area. We just got the capability to have Verizon Fios in Philly but it won’t be in my neighborhood for another 5 years. We don’t even have an HD channel for PPV, Comcast sucks.
Channels worth having for MMA-
Spike
HDNet
Showtime
Versus
as well as
FSN (sometimes they have old Pride reruns)
MyTV (UFC wired)
ESPN Deportes (Bellator)
Supporting all Las Vegas MMA.
