When I saw that I couldn’t help but think of that post fight interview in the locker room where he got teary eyed talking about how he dreamed of being a champion and worked so hard to get where he is now. I bet Lyoto Machida is probably one of the happiest men in the world, because what he worked so hard for has finally come to fruition.
Not just that, he doesn’t act like he’s entitled to it. He worked hard, won the belt, now he probably sees that it’s his responsibility to defend it. He just looks so damn humble – no posturing, no affectation, just joy at winning.

That made me smile.
