So it's official?
This looks like an awesome card. Absolutely cannot wait. I like the Affliction policy of doing few shows with major stars – whether by necessity or choice, I can’t say, but I like it.

I was thinking the same thing.
Also, Buentello is signed to Strikeforce not Affliction. And unless they have him with a signed contract, it is typically illegal to promote a fighter for an event that he is not signed to.

there must be a hellified lawsuit coming then, given that his last two fights were for affliction. or maybe not.
He was loaned by Strikeforce. It would be like the UFC promoting Fedor before they had him signed to a fight.

considering that they loaned him out twice already and have an affliction sponsored fight on in a week, i think youre probably stretching to find a controversy.

So I just wanna know what Atencio meant when he said on twitter they would be announcing something which would show they were in it for the long haul…

Affliction COO Says ‘Trilogy’ Won’t Be Final Event:
Michael D. Cohen: Trilogy just means that this is the third. This is the third of the series. What it should indicate to people is that this is just the third event that Affliction will be promoting, and I can assure you that there will be a fourth; a fifth; and a sixth.
