Shinya Aoki vs. Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro, Manhoef vs. Filho Added to DREAM.10
During intermission at Tuesday's DREAM.9 event, DREAM.10 participants Hayato "Mach" Sakurai, Katsunori Kikuno and Shinya Aoki addressed the Yokohama audience, and a promo video was played which officially announced a handful bouts for the July 20th show at Saitama Super Arena.
The video revealed that fan favorite Melvin Manhoef will return to DREAM against former WEC middleweight champ Paulo Filho, whose visage on the big screen elicited "oohs" from the crowd. Also, the previously scheduled discussed lightweight title bout between Shinya Aoki and Joachim Hansen has apparently been scrapped; the Japanese submission ace will now take on Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro.
In the ring, "Mach" told fans that, as the only remaining Japanese fighter in the Welterweight Grand Prix, he'll do his best to bring the title to Japan. "Please come to support, July 20th at the Saitama Super Arena. The power of everyone becomes my power!" Sakurai will first face Marius Zaromskis, and, should he advance, the winner of Andre Galvao vs. Jason High.
Kikuno, meanwhile, confirmed that his DREAM debut will come against K-1 Hero's veteran Andre "Dida" Amade. The DEEP lightweight ace said that he has dreamt of this moment since he was a high school student. After his last few performances in DEEP, Kikuno certainly looks ready to test himself on the big stage.

did he scramble his brain permanently?

Thats what I want to know...
I was extremely bummed when the fight w/ JZ didn’t happen and now this? If anyone is able to find out some info about this whole bit, I’d be appreciative. Hellboy has become a favorite of mine since I started to discover the Japanese MMA scene outside of what Pride use to be.
What the fuck is a "robster craw"?

Marcos Galvao? It’s Andre.
Anyways, I think this match-up is much more intriguing than Aoki/Hansen.

Are you sure? He didn’t make that last time.

That’s what the promo said.
And Soares said he’s weighing 200 right now and is in great shape so hopefully his mind is right. I would hate to see him fight disinterested, like he did vs Sonnen, against Melvin and get his block ripped off.

As long as Filho doesn’t come out with his belly full of pills he should roll Manhoef for an easy sub.

That is what worries me. He flees back to Japan, gets back on what ever he was on, and is the old filho again until another breakdown or what ever that second sonnen fight was.

Wow, Aoki vs. Shaolin should be awesome – though it will inspire a mountain of ridiculous message board threads on the effectiveness of the rubber guard. Shaolin is a 3X BJJ world champ with 12 submission victories in MMA. It will be interesting to see if Aoki’s sub game is effective in this matchup.

I don’t really think Aoki/Hansen was ever really on. Antonio Carvalho (who has been training with Hansen for some time now) posted on Bloodyknux.com, shortly after the fight was announced by the MMAmedia, that no one on the team had even heard of it. It was news to them and apparently it wasn’t the first time FEG had done something like it.

Yeah, some sites reported that FEG had made an announcement, but it was never anything official.
At the Kawajiri/JZ presser, Sasahara said the tentative plan was to have the winner fight the winner of Aoki/Hansen on NYE.

![Shinya Aoki is amused by Tatsuya Kawajiri's challenge:
"I figured he would [call me out], but it made me laugh because his action was so predictable. During training, I told Caol Uno that I would borrow his words to retort if Kawajiri challenged me like that. Then, lo and behold, Kawajiri comes out dead serious. I just took it all in stride, because, come on, how did he think I would react? Kawajiri is so forthright, while I am just really devious. I think Kawajiri is a good fighter, so I can see myself fighting him; however, I do not know for sure yet. If I feel like fighting him, I will. But that’s something I decide — unfortunately, Kawajiri won’t have any say in the matter."
