UFC 98 Results: Drew McFedries Crushes Xavier Foupa-Pokam in 0:37
Coming off a string of bad luck, including back-to-back losses in the UFC, the tragic loss of his mother, a gruesome staph infection and a battle with Chron's Disease, Drew McFedries showed the world he is still a force to be reckoned with by battering out French muy thai specialist Xavier "Professor X" Foupa-Pokam in thirty-seven seconds.
Getting a quick take-down, McFedries unleashed a barrage of ground and pound that finished the Frenchman quickly, capping the battery with an uppercut.
A stunned Foupa-Pokam tried to take down referee Yves Lavigne with a single leg takedown after the referee stepped in to save him from McFedries.

so Leland...
was that exciting enough for you :D. If there is a god we will see Mcfedries/Leben or Leben/Cote 2 for that matter
Early stoppage?
I’d have liked to see it go a few more seconds, cause it looked like Prof. X was defending, but props to McFedries for an utter destruction.
A wise man told me don't argue with fools
Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who
I wouldn’t say so. Pokam got knocked out and nobody told him.

Yeah...
you can’t get knocked down over and over without the fight getting stopped.

He grabbed the leg purely out of instinct; he wasn’t really intelligently defending himself.

As I pointed out on the live results thread...
this is 6 straight fights for Drew without going over 2 minutes.

As someone with Chrons
I give this guy all the credit in the world. It runs in my family, and I know first hand that it changes you life. I did a division 1 sport and once I realized what it was, it added a whole new dynamic to my training, how I managed stress, my eating, and sleep habits. In reality, your whole out look on life needs to change in order to live with this.
Congrats Drew!
