Fightlinker found a video of Toby Imada's now-infamous inverted triangle on Jorge Masvidal at Bellator 5. Sub OTY candidate for sure.

Great submission
or THE GREATEST SUBMISSION?
8 months left in the year but I can’t see anything topping this.
The way Jorge’s arms flop around is sick.

EPIC INdeed
Definitely the Submission to beat for the year. Nothing more satisfying than seeing an awesome upset over a fighter that was supposed to walk through this fight.
Forget submission of the year.
That joins Sato’s flying armbar and Chonan’s fyling scissors heel hook as one of the greatest submissions EVER.
Final foul in the book
25. Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his or her head or neck.
Dropping you opponent would be allowed, but I believe sitting down hard to drive your opponent’s head into the mat would be considered a foul.
Urijah Faber has done it without being called on it.

Yes, to Chance Farrar off a similar Iranian lift, but referees seem unable to officiate spiking calls properly.
For all the points Marquardt was deducted, I was incredibly suprised when the ref didn’t DQ him for his “piledriver” of Thales Leites. Although…it was pretty awesome. haha

wouldnt spiking
be an offensive move? And pulling it off would imply control. I dont think a ref would penalize a fighter if he dropped to the ground when someone was on his shoulders/head.
The hype around this one finish
is going to get Bellator tons of free publicity and interest in their next show.
As someone who gripes about mma commentary all the time, maybe watching in spanish wont be so bad.
