New ESPN mag - big Dana article.
some quotes from the article...
"he opens pay-per-view events with images of a roman gladiator strapping up for battle, yet feels websites like bloodyelbow.com and thesavagescience.com project the wrong image of this sport"
they talk about filming a reality show last year...
they talk about white's normal life... his family, his house...
they talk about an after party of one of the events and they say Mike Tyson loves the UFC...
that's pretty much it... a dated article I guess with not much new info.
The FanPosts are solely the subjective opinions of Bloody Elbow readers and do not necessarily reflect the views of Bloody Elbow editors or staff.

ESPN public relations contacted me last week to let me know about this. Let me tell you there isn’t a way humanly possible to find that criticism of us any less compelling. And thanks for the shout out, Dana.
Christ, ignoring you looks practically sensible next to this. S-t-u-p-i-d m-o-v-e, D-a-n-a.

Whoa seriously? He said Bloodyelbow? There’s your answer, Luke. Dude does look at the site. You must have rubbed him the wrong way because there is no way he can actually believe that. This site kicks ass and he knows it!
Mike Goldberg: "You know Joe, When Matt and his brother Mark Hughes were growing up, they would pound each other behind the barn."
Obviously the implication from that quote is that Dana doesn’t like the name of this site, though maybe he hates the content too :)
Ok, yeah that makes more sense. I can see why he wouldn’t like the name. No mention of Watch Kalib Run? :P

I don’t think anyone likes the name of this site.

Well...
My dad isn’t a huge fan of MMA but when I brought this up to him when my wife and I were over for Mother’s Day and he said “well…it’s not like elbows aren’t a part of the sport that cause cuts and blood. Not sure what the big deal is.” Which is more or less where I’m at.

And...
the idea that Dana thinks WE are a part of the image issues of the sport does give me a chuckle.

I would also assume it is the connotation of the name, Bloody Elbow, and not the content. I would say BE has the absolute best staff and members around, with the most intelligent discussions possible. Now, places like Sherdog, should be the ones catching heat for their ridiculous, stereotypical existence.
