Just watched J- Mac vs. Quarry.

MacDonald got absolutely molested.  Here's a brief description of the fight:

It was pretty evident right from the start that Jason didn't want to stand with Nate, after the very first punching combination Quarry threw in the fight, he forced him into the clinch (eating a pretty good knee to the body in the process), and he immediately pressed him up against the cage to start working for a takedown.

After the first trip tattempt from Jason was thwarted, he tried for another, and Quarry ended up putting J-Mac on his back with a clean Judo throw, where he landed in half guard.  In and out of the guard/ half guard, Quarry postured up well, and threw some good shots.  He landed with a hard elbow that opened a small cut over MacDonalds eye, and from there- started pouring it on.  Staying postured up in MacDonalds loose, open guard, Quarry continued throwing elbows and punches until the fight was stopped.

The reason I wrote all this up was just in case you haven't seen it.  The real topic at hand is- where does Jason go from here?  I know that he won't be cut from the UFC, but he's 1-3 in his last 3 fights, and all 3 losses were finishes.  He's never been able to put together a real solid win streak, and it seems that he'll pretty much be relegated to gatekeeper status from now on.

As for Quarry, this is a decent win for him- what's next for Nate?  Does he fight a guy like Gouveia?  I, for one, think that'd be a good fight for both of them, and would be sure to provide some solid action.
