Lashley vs. Sapp
According to MMA Junkie:
Former World Wrestling Entertainment star and up-and-coming mixed-martial-arts heavyweight fighter Bobby Lashley (2-0) will fight former NFL lineman and kickboxer Bob Sapp (10-3-1) on June 27.
Lashley, an American Top Team fighter, announced the super-heavyweight fight with a Monday Twitter posting.
After an appearance on TNA's Lockdown PPV from this past weekend, it seemed as if Lashley's dream of making it to a bigger show (Strikeforce/UFC) was dead. However this news as well as the rumors that he did not sign a deal with the pro wrestling group, keeps Lashey's aspirations alive for a little longer.

FUCKING GREAT
Now Lashley gets to lose to Bob Sapp.
Sapp is 10-3-1 on what planet, exactly?

I can't tell if you're joking or not...
but Lashley will not, cannot possibly lose to Bob Sapp.
If this goes down, Lashley will punch him once and Sapp will fall to bits and tap to strikes.

Dude. My friend. Lashley just got done not finishing a guy he had 30 pounds of muscle on. Now he’ll be giving up about eighty.
This has career smash face written all over it.

I have no excuses for Lashley not finishing Guida. But – and this feels weird to say – Sapp is even less talented a fighter than Jason Guida. He’s an actor who just does not like being hit, and the last real fight he had – I’m not counting the one against the anime character – JAN NORTJE absolutely throttled him.

Dude...
See for youself.
Sapp’s only losses were to Nog, Fujita, and some random fat guy in Strikeforce. Not to say that he has many great wins, either…

Google "Bob Sapp,"
and look at his fight finder page. It’s legit.

Lashley needs to be careful
He and his managment and team need to not be so hasty in throwing him in too soon. Bob Sapp is a beast, but he has enoumous flaws in his game. Lashley for all entensive purposes has yet to find his game. The question is why get carried away and get in these fights with such little training? I personally don’t think him beating Sapp is going to make Dana White go, “Sh!t, this guy is for real! I better sign this MF before some other F’n organization does.” You can still impress with guys that are not sideshow freaks and novelty fighters.
Yes, however Brock Lesnar signed with the UFC after only one sideshow freak fight. And then his second pro fight was against a former UFC Champion.
If Lashley wants to be fast-tracked to the bigger shows (and better level of competition), he needs to fight a comparable sideshow freak like Sapp. If he can finish Sapp in an impressive fashion, he will have the Scott Coker’s and Dana White’s of the world taking note.
That is true about Lesnar,
but you have to realize the name value that Lesnar had is worlds above what Lashley has.
Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.
Lesnar was scheduled to fight Hong Man Choi, but Choi wasn’t licensed in California, so Lesnar fought Min Soo Kim – more a can than a freak. Then he went right to the big leagues, where Lashley would lose his life were his next fight against Mir.
