The only thing better than the quality of the workouts ...

… is the level of production.

I’ve seen ads for used car dealerships better done than that.

Although detractors decry (MMA) as a brutal, bloody form of human cockfighting, aficionados know it is a brutal, bloody, totally fucking awesome form of human cockfighting. -The Onion

GOd dammit...

Ray Mercer did not always talk like that. This is really sad. It’s Tim Sylvia vs. Old Boxer with Obvious Brain Injury Issues

I can’t imagine he always hit a heavy bag like that, either.

Sylvia is gonna get smoked.

It will still be a better fight than Silva/Leites

Wow, they’ve been going to the Nick Diaz school of speed punching.

Jason Guida looked like that too in his highlights before the Lashley fight

That was pretty sad

I love to try to figure out what the person who produced crap like this was thinking. Let’s assume they have no budget and that there’s no way to make Mercer and Silvia sound polished on camera. What were they thinking when the recorded the “workouts”? I don’t have the experience with commercials or enough imagination to figure out who thought that was a good idea. Why were they punching so slow? Obviously, someone told them to punch in slow motion with no technique. As much as I dislike Tim Silvia, I know he can pull off a more convincing display than that.

Can anyone explain this?

by cmsove on Apr 21, 2009 1:05 PM EDT reply actions

Sigh.

This is depressing. Maybe they’ll get Mr. International to ref and knock each other out. One can dream…

It reminded me of a skit from ‘Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job!’ I was expecting something wacky to happen.

Dude

Nail on the head. They must have produced it.

I poop rainbows.

I could seriously see Monte Cox running a child clown outlet.

LMFAO! I seriously thought this commercial was a fake at first. What a joke

I thought the same thing however when they do fight I don’t think I’ll be able to look away.

Its going to be like a bad train wreck – Horrible but you wont be able to look away

A negative draw MMA fighter vs a fat out-of-shape boxing has-been… The next thing you’ll be telling me it’s going to be a boxing match in a cage… What?

This has every chance in the world to bury both their careers beyond the point of salvageability. Assuming Tim will ever fight again, it will be in a regional MMA show.

by Monday Morning Martial Artist on Apr 21, 2009 2:22 PM EDT reply actions

I always thought people were too hard on Timmeh

But this business decision is fucking terrible. That should’ve been announced by the oxy clean guy.

Tim, this won’t make anyone respect you, but it’ll make the last few holdouts reconsider hating you. This is not your world. Wes Sims is gone and there’s no one for you to fight anymore. Stop trying to be a tough guy and go home. Get a real job and please go the fuck home.

Hey guys, I'm missing my '93 Canon R5 tape camcorder

If anybody has seen it, please let me know.

This is the first thing I’ve seen that might possibly compare to Wargods.

Speechless….

This is just pathetic...

when your manager promises you that bags of money and unparralleled fame are waiting for you at that new MMA promotion…..remeber that if it sounds too good to be true, it most definetely is not….yes, he did score a 400k paycheck in 36 seconds, but self-respect and dignity are worth much, much more.

$800k, to be fair.
