Ryan Bader Injured, May Have Torn MCL, ACL

TUF 8 LHW winner Ryan Bader injured his left knee in the first round of his unanimous decision victory over Carmelo Marrero tonight at UFC Fight Night 18, according to Cagewriter:

Ryan Bader was a winner over Carmelo Marrero but lacked explosiveness at times. Bader told Cage Writer he felt his knee pop in the first round. He was told by the doctor on scene at the Sommet Center that he may have torn his MCL. He mentioned that the left knee was swelling is hoping that he didn't tear the ACL as well.

This obviously sucks for Bader, as this was a pretty dominant performance for him and a big win in his quest to climb the ladder in the UFC's deepest division. Hopefully it's just his MCL and he can be back sooner rather than later but right now it doesn't sound good.
