Thales Leites' Passivity in Numbers

FightMetric released their report for Silva/Leites. Here's the number of strikes thrown by round for each fighter:
| Round | Silva | Leites |
| 1 | 17 | 8 |
| 2 | 19 | 16 |
| 3 | 44 | 13 |
| 4 | 36 | 13 |
| 5 | 32 | 13 |
And here's their Effectiveness Scores by round:
| Round | Silva | Leites |
| 1 | 10 | 1 |
| 2 | 30 | 10 |
| 3 | 61 | 11 |
| 4 | 55 | 7 |
| 5 | 66 | 1 |
Leites also attempted 16 "takedowns," though at least 10 of those would be of the "flop to the ground and try to pull guard" variety.

Leites doesnt deserve to be on another ppv. he should be relegated to undercards and spike tv shows. I dont blame anderson for dancing around him. its a show this clown even got a title shot.
Why isn’t Silva requesting fights at 205 or harder fights BJ penn style? Seems like Silva is too bored to stay hungry at middle weight.
He’s said repeatedly that the 205 belt is Lyoto’s.

I thought several times during the fight that I would have rathered seen him fight BJ Penn – I know that is not what you meant, but just wanted to share my thoughts since you mentioned BJ

The scorecards were way closer than the fight-matrix.
Spinning out solid gold, like Rumpelstiltskin.
Another thing that sucked
We didn’t get to see undercard bouts because of the 5-round snoozefest. I feel doubly robbed.

Meanwhile Diaz throws 270 punches in less than 2 rounds
