Mirko Crocop stated he is close to signing with K-1, and participating in the K-1 World MAX.

Mirko went on to say that he hopes and expects his fight will be against Alistair Overeem, as he is trying to work with K-1/DREAM to make this happen in July.

does K-1 world max mean its 155?

(dont know much about K1, sorry) haha. but that’s what’s written in dreamfighters, maybe something was just lost in translation?

Yeah, K-1 MAX is K-1’s 155 and under division. Weird article from Dreamfighters – I’m guessing Mirko really said he was hoping to enter the K-1 World GP, but the part about him being close to signing with K-1 is weird since he said he signed a three-fight deal with DREAM last month. One thing I’ve learned since Mirko left the UFC is not to take anything he says too seriously.

he did say K-1/DREAM, so he’s hoping for a co-promotion maybe? or maybe hoping that one of them set up the overeem fight?

i dont know..but yeah, thats really weird news.. haha.

K-1 and DREAM are run by the same parent company (Fighting and Entertainment Group).

Hey, it's all good.

I’m constantly finding out things I didn’t know about Japanese MMA. The community here is awesome for that.
