"MMAPayout.com also learned that the Countdown to UFC 97 program that debuted on Monday night drew 774,000 viewers. This is an extremely strong number and may portend of good things for the performance of the card on PPV. Monday night airings generally pull smaller numbers than what the Countdown shows receive in their usual Thursday night slot. The past few Monday night debuts have drawn in the 500k viewer range (including Lesnar v Couture),so the 700k figure looks especially strong."
