Mixed Martial Artwork: Genki Sudo
This is an excellent sketch of Genki Sudo by the very talented Alleycatsgarden.
More Genki Sudo after the jump.
This is Genki Sudo 2 by Alleycatsgarden.
I had a hard time choosing which work to choose because he has several feature worthy pieces in his deviantart page and his website.. I ultimately made the decision because Genki Sudo was one of my favorite fighters during his time. He redefined the word unorthodox, and was always very exciting to watch.. Alleycatsgarden makes great sketches, and i'm sure i'll be making another feature on his work in the future.
If you have a deviantart account, be sure to give him your thoughts and compliments, if not, just post it in the comments section. I'm sure he'll be reading them

If you guys haven't heard off or watched genki sudo yet i suggest you check out his highlight videos..
He was veryyyy entertaining very unorthodox, and he arguably had better entrances than Gono..
No argument.
Genki’s entrances were THE BEST, not to mention his ring style and philosophy. We are all one!

yea i actually think he had the best entrances.. i just thought some could argue about gono's as well..
and i really liked his philosophy of we are all one.. especially coming from a japanese guy. :)

Artistically, I’m more partial to the second piece. Great work.
"I hit [Evensen], and you could just see it in his head. He went, 'Oh, man. We don't have to do this anymore. I'm good. Thanks for having me. I'm going to go home now." -Pat "The Real Techno Viking" Berry
i actually can't choose on which is better..
i like that the first has a lot of shading.. but i love the second drawing with the arrangement and the tattoo of course..
and guys, Check out his gallery. He’s got LOTSSSSSSSSS of good sketches.. you can even argue that the others should be the one featured instead of this.. I especially like his sakuraba drawing also.. :)

oh and i placed a journal entry on my deviantart page that talks about and links to this series so that people who visit it would see the features here in BE..
so deviantart people would go here to BE, and also see the works at the same time.. more traffic from a different market, and the artwork gets more eyeballs.. win win situation IMO..
and i know it’s not a million people who view my page, but hey, every bit counts right? :)
Good call.
