The $100 experiment -- I just won $1,000 betting UFC 96!

Hi  guys. Hopefully this won't come off as bragging, but I just won $1,000 betting on UFC 96 and I thought some of you might be interested in how I did it.

Those who have followed my previous $100 experiment posts will know I've fallen in love with the parlay, and it paid off bigtime today.

Star-divide

Here's the bets:

Jackson+Hamill = Bet $55 to win $57.

Jackson+Carwin+Hamill = Bet $25 to win $102

Jackson+Carwin = Bet $30 to win $70.

Jackson+Hamill+Maynard+Grove = Bet $45 to win $130

Jackson+Carwin+Hamill+Vera+Brown+Maynard+Grove = Bet $23 to win $636

Total risked: $178

Total in account after victories: $1,166

I definitely got lucky off the Carwin bet, and the Brown win was a nice surprise. There was a lot of ways this could have gone wrong, but the stars lined up. A lot of people wouldn't recommend this strategy. Several people suggested better bankroll management and being wary of parlays. But I wanted to have a shot at a big payday. I did my best to balance my bets so I could survive a Hamill or Carwin loss, but that turned out to be academic.  I plan to pull out $1,000 and leave in $150 (my original stake) for betting on future events.

I thought I had your trifecta but I must have traded Hamill for Boetsch in a fit of stupidity. Damnit!

Damn nice!!

If Miller had won, I actually had the same Parlay except for Miller over Maynard, so I missed it by one fight. It would’ve turned $5 into $215…damnit!

Congrats.

I had Carwin, Rampage, Aoki and Maeda in a parlay. I also had Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Barcelona aaaaand…. Real Madrid. Would have won close to a grand! God damn cabrons…

Congrats man, and that didn’t come off as bragging at all, you were simply following up on your earlier posts and I think it’s really cool you did so well. Obviously, you have to be a bit lucky to have a longshot like that 7 man parlay come in but like you said, sometimes the stars lineup. Have fun with your winnings!

So the real question is...
I’m planning to cash out after this one, so it’s "go big or go home."

So has your huge win convinced you to keep gambling or are you sticking to your plan to cash out?
