A Cursory Look at Referee Statistics and Another Call for Volunteers
If you remember this post, I called for volunteers to help me with a project involving referees and judges. I've put the judge project on hold for now, but we're still going strong on the ref side. Here's some preliminary work I've done, and hope to expand on with more data:

Sorry for the poor image quality. I'll try and fix that. Anyway, there isn't too much to glean from these yet because of the sample size, but it's interesting that Mario Yamasaki's nickname "Finish Him" may be well deserved.
I'm still looking for people to help out with the project. Originally, I wanted people to have access to all fights on a card, but I'm content with any help at this point. All you have to do is go through each fight on a card, note the referee, and report it back to me. Shouldn't take more than five to ten minutes for each event. Here's what we're missing:
All Fight Nights
All TUF Finales
UFC 28
UFC 36-37
UFC 38-42
UFC 61-68
UFC 93-94
A lot of prelims fights haven't been accounted for either. Send me an e-mail if you're interested.
EDIT: I've added a Google spreadsheet of unfinished fights. Please continue to send data to my e-mail. Spreadsheet should be updated fairly reguarly this week. Keep in mind 48-60 are done, I just haven't received them yet.

I have 48-60 done. I just need to send them over. You can take them off the list. Do you want the fight nights done or continue with the numbered events?
What exactly does the Y-Axis represent in the bottom two graphs?

It’s a percentage. So McCarthy (approximately) has 42% of fights end by KO/TKO, 17% by submission, and 36% by decision.

Thought so, but you know what they say about assuming – make sure there’s no adam’s apple. Or is that just me?

I wonder why no submissions with Dan Miragliotta.
I have sent you 28 twice now. Did you not get it or did I mess something up?
I dislike Matt Hughes.
Awesome response!
These just got finished:
UFC 94
UFC 93
UFC 68
UFC 64
UFC 37
UFC 36
UFC 28
So we have these left:
All Fight Nights
All TUF Finales
UFC 38-42
UFC 61-63
UFC 65-67
Tons of prelims as well.

I think we need to start setting up a working list of missing prelims. So we can fill in the blanks. I have tons of DVD, but they all don’t have every fight. But we can record unleashed and go and do research to fill it all in.
I also have all the TUF finales, now that I think about it.

What is considered a KO/TKO? I wanna make sure I’m recording this correctly.

I don't see the spreadsheet
Am I crazy or stupid?
