Just so much denial in 5 minutes.
Apparently we, as MMA fans, have issue to deal with….
And I love how he is will to raise GSP’s hand after the next fight, IF its a fair fight. Amazing.
God that Sherdog reported needed to get some balls and ask him if he would train hard for his next fight, or a rematch…instead of take a vacation….

Well I understand his statement around MMA fans who are questioning what he’s doing but it’s obvious that he is in denial and that somehow the vaseline had some serious impact on the fight. What the Jackson team did wasn’t right but didn’t break the rules as stated and the NSAC is making changes to stop from anyone other than a cutman having vaseline during a fight. Seems if he loves the sport he’d recognize that stricter rules are being put in place but the fact is he still lost.

What a blow to BJ's confidence.
Gettng the shit kicked out of you has a big psychological impact on a fighter. He is obviously lining in la la land.

BJ looks fat.
Will he be able to make the weight for Ken-Flo?
BJ dude, you got OWNED, EVERYWHERE! You had never bleed in a fight before and GSP fixed that for you. Wake up and stop listening to your yes men please! He better hope he beats Ken-Flo because if he doesn’t he’s never getting that rematch. Bet on it buddy!

BJ always sort of looks like that except when he heads into a LW fight. BJ will make weight. But it just goes to show you the difference in work ethic between BJ and GSP. GSP is always in shape. Also, even if BJ beats Florian, I doubt he’ll get a rematch with GSP for the title again. He’d have to work his way through the WW division, and I think he’d have a hard time with elite guys like Alves or Fitch. I also have a problem seeing where BJ could have had a chance in that fight with GSP. You’re right, he got beat everywhere. If they didn’t go to the ground, I’m sure GSP would have just continued to do what he did in the first round: smother him against the fence and then when BJ was tired, destroy him on the feet.

Didn’t BJ get a fair fight the first time and he lost there too? I just wish that BJ realized that he lost and that he would stop saying “You know” every 3 words.

hopefully the commission does the right thing and suspends Nurse, Jackson and GSP if not banning them. No place for cheating in sports, and definately no place for cheating in a sport such as MMA. Penn’s life was at risk.

For some reason,
this actuall is rec-worthy.

Penn’s life is at risk everytime he gets into the cage. I think the grease was a factor, but ultimately didnt change what was a pretty stellar beatdown that GSP put on him. but lets not turn some vaseline into a murder weapon. if you dont want to get punched in the head, you probably shouldnt get in the cage. I’m a BJ Penn fan and this has gone on too long. Dana and Joe Silva should have realized what kind of circus this was going to be, and just let someone who actually earned it fight GSP. as for a rematch…..I seriously doubt BJ wants that. If he wins(by some miracle) people will say he actually trained. if he loses(which i think he would 9 times out of 10) then it just confirms what anyone who watched that fight knows. GSP is an ass beating machine, no question about it.

I know its the kewl thing to do bashing BJ right now, but I really don’t have a problem with this whole situation. There is nothing wrong with him making a formal complaint… Anything to make sure that whole stupid situation doesn’t happen again is totally cool with me.
