mmaplayground has camps. you could make a BE camp, but you have a set amount of money per 10 events. It has been a while since I have been there so it may be totally diffrent
Alright I’ve created an account at mmaplayground.com and created a fight BloodyElbow.com Fight Camp.
http://www.mmaplayground.com/camps/bloodyelbowcom/
Somebody create an account… make sure it’s the same name as you use here or as close to it as possible and try join the group.
We’re 2 events late in the season… but it won’t matter if we’re just tracking the group.
Let’s see if we can figure this out. =)
I’m on now too. Invite requested.

This is a better idea...
than the league I was starting. So mine is closed and I joined up…

Be smart guys...
Obviously if you want to bet all $1000 on the first event…go nuts. But if you lose it you’re done for 8 events as Nick said. I personally made a pretty huge play on Lauzon (bigger than I normally would put on a single fight) simply because I think that he has a TON of value heading into this fight and Stephens is getting overvalued severely. But I won’t be broke if he doesn’t come through for me.

Well, you do get more then 1000, you get a small amount of cash for your picks each event. it is enough to keep you playing, but not enough to compete with the folks that are winning bets.
true...
but as you said. You’re basically dead in the water at that point.

Well, I have made a comeback before, but you have to take large risks. For example we are starting 2 events into a 10 event season. We can’t compete with folks that have had a good two events, but if we hit a big parlay then we are right there with them, it is just it takes extraordinary betting.
It's possible....
it’s just not likely if a few other guys are doing well.

Go to the team page
and request an invite. You’ll then get a message saying that you’ve been invited which you’ll then be able to accept and you’ll be on the team.

Uh, I already had an account, and a balance over 1k from the last event. Should I create a new BE-specific account then, so I’m not ahead of the game?
1000 for 8 events? Gay. Plan on adjusting the minimum/maximum bet allowances so I can bet, like, more than one fight per card?
You can bet...
more than one fight per card. If you check a box you’re putting that pick in a parlay. If you just type in an amount next to the fighter you’re picking that is an individual fight pick.
I like having a limited amount because it makes things a more “realistic” betting scenario than “just pick all the big underdogs and hope you hit a big upset or two and if not you get $1000 more the next show”

What I’m saying is if the minimum bet is now 10% of my total bankroll I will be hesitant to bet more than that.

um
Bloodyelbowfromthemount?
I think with you all adding me your wins and losses just went up by 100.
I was
Being Sarcastic. It is AmericanFighterAce.
I have had this one for a long time.
For some really weird reason I thought I had it as Mr. NC-17 but when I was on MMA-Maina’s team, I changed it to AmericanFighterAce… so there ya go..
Can you create an account with your BE Name on mmaplayground? Or would I look into how I can change your name on bloodyelbow.com? =)
Nick..
I just made one for NC_-17 so I am sending a request now
OK
As far as I’m concerned, those that don’t bet their whole stack on each card is a coward. I’ve got a $400 parlay in addition to my fighter bets.
Challenge extended.
$400 parlay on Stojnioc, Luigi and Emerson pays $62,748 :0

Good luck with all that.

You have some brass ones, man.

I'll miss the simplicity of the old game
though I can understand the need for efficiency. I requested and invite.

I must say Nick, I created my NC-17 profile, and they deleted both of my profiles. So we’ll see if I can get back in.
That'd
Be perfect, because I cant log in to talk to anybody over there.
$200 on Stephens
$300 on Emerson
$500 on Riddle
Hopefully this works out.

looks like because of that I'm getting this error message.
“Camp roster actions may not be made in the first 48 hours after a primary league event has taken place.”
That sucks cause I’ve got a feeling that Cain has a decent chance of going down and believe that is the best pick of the night relative to the odds.
yep i got the same message, no picks for me on this one then

Nick, I need some help
Ok, so J-Lau, Pellegrino and Velasquez all win, just like my parlay says, and not only does it say it didn’t win, it’s like it refunded the $400 to me (otherwise I’d be at $940 instead of $1340). As it stands, I should be at $1750, that’s what the site told me the max was when I placed them and I didn’t miss a fight.
Please advise.
by Derek Suboticki on Feb 8, 2009 12:58 AM EST reply actions
does parlay have to be 3 fights? cause i bet on 2.
[parlay wager] $100 D. Miller C. Velasquez
and the result is just -$0
It said before the fight that i would earn a couple of bucks here, but all it did was refund my cash.

From the forums:
STATS NOT DONE OR OFFICAL , WILL HAVE TO BE FIXED BY THE PROGRAMMER
The fight camp rankings won’t be updated yet, The parleys have not updated yet either. Sorry , but until the programmer gets online their is no more i can do.
Supposedly there were too many members on last night… I think we broke the website. =)
Yeah...
it’s starting to get better but they don’t have it all the way fixed. With MMAPlayground your best bet is to wait a day or two to go in and look at the results. Stuff gets jacked up for the first 24 hours.

I WIN
I didn’t know about the picks and Beermonster came in with more money. I want an honorary ‘Not Knowing The Rules But Kicking Everyone’s Ass Anyway’ belt.
Uh, I only bet 1000, like everyone else. That’s how much I won based on following the rules like everyone else.
Yea, if you need to verify it, you can click on my winnings for the event and it shows my bets. I won most of it on a $500 Catone/Lauzon/Tibau parlay.
The thing about Playground is you almost never go broke because you get prediction bonuses. Call one fight right, you get some cash back. It’s worth betting your whole roll every event. Another thing is you can only bet half your roll on a parlay.
I just can't...
bring myself to bet my whole bankroll. It goes against everything I’ve ever been taught by my gambling family.

I’ll bet half next time – I was under the impression that $400 was still the maximum. Nice parlay, though – mine was weenier (Cain, Kurt, J-Lau). You are out of your mind for betting against Dan Miller :-)
by Derek Suboticki on Feb 8, 2009 3:50 PM EST up reply actions
I bet...
550 so that’s over 500! YEAH! (450 on Lauzon, 100 on a 3 fight parlay that I lost)

Back on Top!!!
I defiantly liked the two different games.
I bet 600 this time, and if Clementi won my cash would have been up to 2100…. darn that would have been fun for next time.
yeah it’s a cool little site… are you guys trying to join still getting the warning “Camp roster actions may not be made in the first 48 hours after a primary league event has taken place.”?
yeah
I got that message. I’ll try again on monday I guess.

I should’ve paid more attention to the fantasy picks…I got 21 points for 4-5 picks, I think.
"Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream." -- George W. Bush, Oct. 18, 2000
Yeah, me too. I made a few picks before I read that we weren’t supposed to do that and I didn’t get the memo that fantasy picks were kosher.
