Upset Alert: Rampage Jackson!
The title says it all. We all seen the way Forrest was able to use his leg kicks to cut down the champ. This time around Jardine will have a similar gameplan. I put together a true upset alert and a few of the reasons why this is a terrible fight for Rampage at the link.
This is going to be a good fight (if Jardine leaves his glass jaw at home...) Although 96 wont be the best fight card this year, it def deserves some interest.

I think people are two fast to put two and two together. Yes, Quinton had a hard time with leg kicks against Forrest. It’s something he and his camp are well aware of, and I just don’t think Jardine can win a race of leg kicks for points with his chin. He’s been tapped badly twice now, and the onslaught from Quinton is going to be rough. I expect Quinton to be extremely aggressive right out of the gate.

Jardine via the matchmaking curse. It’s very possible.

I understand what you’re saying but I’m sticking with Quinton for this one. Wolfs Lair have put the fire back under him.

If the Jardine that showed up against Chuck is fighting then he has a real shot. If the one who fought Houston Alexander shows up then it will be a short night!

Nah ...
Better bet is a Jackson/Carwin exacta. People are sleeping on Shane’s heavy hands at +150.

gonzaga carwin you mean? Its cause gonzaga has more technical strikes and arguably stronger or at least at par power..
Shane shouldnt try and bang with him and just work the clinch and use his superior wrestling to smother gonzaga ala couture..

It doesn’t matter which Jardine shows up. Rampage’s chin and power will be too much for Jardine.

Jardine is just WAY too inconsistent
I am not saying that Jardine doesn’t have a chance, but he did not look that good in his last fight against Brandon Vera who has been off his game for a while. The kicks COULD be a difference maker against Jackson, but I feel that that one tool is oversimplifying a reason why Jardine can upset Rampage. Even Rampage on an off night can go up against a 100% Forrest Griffin, and go five more-or-less competitive rounds with him.

I seriously doubt that Rampage will allow another fight to go to a decision
unless it is via him beating the shit out of the other guy. Sorry my pretty Jardine, but no chance.
Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even when you win you are still retarded.

Oh I miss interpreted the title of this post. I assumed that Rampage was angry about something. Yea, no.
That's great, but how does it affect Lyoto Machida?

Same here. I thought Rampage had had another “episode” when I saw this. I really want to see Rampage Vs Rashad, but Keith will screw everything up again by leg kicking Rampage to death.

Nah
Jardine’s leg kicks are different than they way Griffin implemented them against Jackson. Jardine likes to finish his hand combo’s with kicks…which would put him within striking distance of Jackson. Which means night night for Jardine. Whereas Griffin threw lead leg kicks for the most part if I remember correctly.
If yall haven’t seen the pre-fight interview I suggest yall go check’em out.

The gameplan to beat Jackson exists, and Jardine is masterful at implementing gameplans that beat people he’s not supposed to beat. It sure would jack up their plans….
However, Jackson by second round KO.

![Rashad Evans confirms the fight with Rampage Jackson is off UFC 107 on 'IT'S TIME!!!' with Bruce Buffer [at the 57 min mark] (audio)
"I am (going to fight him), but not when I’m supposed to. He’s kind of getting sidetracked taking other opportunities above fighting."
"They haven’t nailed down any dates, but they did say it would happen after the new year," said Evans. "I think they we’re waiting to speak with Quinton’s guys to see when exactly he feels he should be ready."
"If it couldn’t happen at all, I would definitely want to fight somebody else," said Evans, "but I know the UFC definitely has a lot invested in us fighting each other. It makes no sense for us to fight somebody else because then all that they have created is just a waste."
