Quote of the Day: Diego Sanchez Reborn?

"In my opinion the fight is always in the training...This is going to definitely by far be the best Diego Sanchez, the best looking Diego Sanchez, the best trained Diego Sanchez, and definitely the most focused Diego Sanchez you'll ever see. It was a challenge to make the weight. It was just pure discipline."

"This is my rebirth. I was on my way to starting a legacy back when I was 19-0 and this is my rebirth for that Diego legacy...Not only am I going to make a statement the way I look, I'm also going to make a statement the way I fight."

-- Diego Sanchez talking to MMA Weekly about his upcoming main event bout at UFC 95.

Oh yeah I’m getting pumped! Hopefully Diego isn’t just full of it kinda like BJ was and actually performs on Sat. The fact that I got DirecTV installed yesterday also helps!

SpikeHD FTW!

I got my HD DirecTV set up a few weeks ago. It’s going to change your life. Seriously. It’s so awesome, but not everything is 1080p. Most is 1080i, but that’s still boss.

Yeah

I had Dish HD but they didn’t carry Spike HD >:( so when my contract ended the other week I jumped on DirecTV. I saw UFC Unleashed (the one with Hughes vs Trigg 2) last night in its upscaled glory. :) Cant wait for a new UFC Primetime to come out!

Do you guys pay for your HD channels? I have COX and only pay 1 dollar for HD.

It comes with the package. I think all the packages have HD so its not really an extra charge for it. I got the Plus HD DVR package with HBO and Showtime. HDNet and Spike HD are a must now! :)

Man,

I cannot recall the last time I heard a person refer to themselves in the third person more than this wackadoo! He must be really happy with his physical appearance as well, because I have read him commenting on how good he looks about ten times.

Remember

Hes been hanging with wacko Dan Quinn and that might have a liiiiiitle something to do with it. I’m expecting him to be a little more cut than usual but thats about it.

Maybe, lol.

It is just funny to hear a fighter constantly remarking on how good he is looking. I guess if he wins then he can thank Diego Sanchez & then part with Diego Sanchez at Diego Sanchez’s after party. He may even get lucky with Diego Sanchez if he plays his cards right!

Sanchez has the style to defeat Stevenson. He is the agressive strong in your face fighter with solid boxing and good ground work. I just wonder if this fight goes into a round 2 or round 3 if Diego’s weight cut will effect him into the gassing manner.

I don’t think so. He’s only cutting down from 170. I think he’ll be able to do ok. He’s going to be doing a lot more cardio before hand, and he’s the kind of guy to train at altitude. He’s probably coming in the best shape of his life.

This guy’s a good fighter, I just find that he takes himself way too seriously.

Joe Stevenson is the perfect first opponent for him at 155. Credible, but beatable by the very top end. His performance will really show us where he belongs in the division picture
