ATO confirms Monson Signing With Strikeforce at 205: Former UFC heavyweight #1 contender Jeff Monson has signed with Strikeforce ATO has learned through a source close to the fighter. Monson will debut in Strikeforce in 2010 and likely drop to 205. Monson has won 7 out of his last 8 fights. He dropped a unanimous decision to Pedro Rizzo in Brazil back in September. "The Snowman" has fought a who’s who of MMA heavyweights. Monson defeated TUF 10 winner Roy Nelson back in March. There was a four year stretch from 2003 to 2006 where he won 16 straight fights.
