I was thinking the same thing, it’s funny that his prediction is the exact same way I feel every time he fights.

Lindland will always be relevant because he will always be the answer to the trivia question:

“Who is the only fighter in the history of the UFC to tap twice in the same match.”

Funny ...

I remember another fighter getting KTFO and no one talking about him anymore …. fella by the name of Lindland?

When I read this I thought he was saying Houston is definitely going to win and then Kimbo will be irrelevant

I thought that was what he meant too

Houston will never be irrelevant but he will never be truly relevant either….

He’ll just be…..there. That’s it.

Mac Danzig’s prediction was hilarious.

So was his Forrest/Tito one.

Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.

I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.

Danzig’s response was retarded, he should stop trying to be funny and work on getting a ‘W’.

Why did they even

ask Danzig, I thought they said Pro fighters.

by proflex on Dec 5, 2009 10:59 AM EST up reply actions   1 recs

Why did you remove Danzig’s? He was kind of being a dick. He talking a lot of shit, for someone who lost 3 in a row. He’s talking about someone don’t deserve to be in the UFC, he should be fortunate that he has TUF Immunity.

by The Bronzeville Bully on Dec 5, 2009 10:42 AM EST reply actions

Lindland deserves the benefit of the doubt, I mean the guy is a little retarded after the Belfort fight.

by ElStIkO on Dec 5, 2009 10:44 AM EST reply actions

just reread the comments

Danzig is clueless, first, Kimbo would just beat him in “da streets” He’d cream Danzig anywhere they decided to fight. Second, why is the Kimbo/Houston fight a dumb one? Danzig should focus on his career, cause if he posts another L he’s looking for work outside the UFC, Well in all honesty, he’s probably looking for work as we speak, even if the contract isn’t up yet, he’s done nothing impressive in the UFC to date, no reason to keep him around.

Someone replace Mac Danzig as the well spoken jerk, tell Sherdog that Dan Hardy is a far better candidate for that role, at least Hardy has a successful career ahead of him.

What's the deal with Danzig?

Im surprised he’s still around the way the the UFC has been letting fighters go lately for two losses in a row. Or in Jake Rosholt’s case, going loss-win-loss…
I guess they really don’t want to let a TUF winner go…

by Lunchbox15 on Dec 5, 2009 11:56 AM EST reply actions

It’s three in a row for Danzig. First he lost by UD to Guida, then he got triangle choked by Josh Neer (who the UFC let go), and then Danzig just lost by UD to Jim Miller in a very bloody fight (the blood being from Danzig getting GnPed by Miller). Danzig needs to drop to 145 and go to the WEC.

by chrisbboy82 on Dec 5, 2009 1:52 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah

I know that he’s lost three in a row. I was saying that there are other fighters that are being let go from the UFC and aren’t on three fight losing streaks.
Neer lost his last two fights and is now gone from the UFC. SO why is he gone and Danzig is still there?
I agree, maybe Danzig dropping to 145 is a good idea. Maybe he won’t have to go to the WEC if they merge with the UFC anyways.

by Lunchbox15 on Dec 5, 2009 3:13 PM EST up reply actions

Danzig isn’t gone because he has a trophy.

I personally couldn’t care less about how people celebrate.. Their adrenaline is pumping and people handle excitement differently, so as long as they don’t keep on doing that days/months after the excitement wears off then I don’t care…

Now, if you’re still talking shit, still bad mouthing your opponent, and being an all around douche on a normal basis, then that’s a different story..

Houston fights with emotions. On Sports Science, his coach worked him into such a frenzy that he began crying from rage. I’m not too bothered by it, so long as the emotions don’t cause him to keep wailing on someone when the ref stops it.

Houston was the nicest fighter I ever met in person even going as far as to talk to my friend on the phone when he found out that he was a fan and couldnt make the trip because his dad was ill. He also said he had the best job in the world and he loves all of his fans. I’ll always root for him.

Giving Shogun his props. I had the fight 48-47 Machida but Shogun put up a monumental performance and I am honored to have seen it in person.

a a jerk singer who was also a little overconfident in his own fighting abilities and got his ass handed to him more than once.

Lindland – While good in the past is lacking now…and can’t draw a cent

Lindland is good until the fight has championship implications. He lost to Bustamante, Terrel, Rampage, and Belfort. He failed to qualify for the Olympics…until he sued, and even after he won the team the USOC didnt want him there. He lost his run for Oregon State Senate. He’s a choke artist and will never amount to anything but a mid level fighter in second tier organizations. He’s never beaten any top guys who were in their prime.

Kimbo made a lot of new fans on the show, his personality was almost the complete opposite of how it was marketed to be during his elitexc and street fighting days. I know he’s got almost no chance of winning but I’ll be rooting for him.
