Sorry to fighter bash, but Lindland’s a dick. I can understand people being resentful of Kimbo but Houston has done nothing to deserve being shit on like that. Anyway, his win over Jardine is more notable than anything Lindland has ever accomplished in MMA.

I was thinking the same thing, it’s funny that his prediction is the exact same way I feel every time he fights.

Irrelevant is where Lindland lives, he’s lonely and is hoping for a new neighbor

Funny ...
I remember another fighter getting KTFO and no one talking about him anymore …. fella by the name of Lindland?

Mac Danzig’s prediction was hilarious.
So was his Forrest/Tito one.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
Danzig’s response was retarded, he should stop trying to be funny and work on getting a ‘W’.

Why did they even
ask Danzig, I thought they said Pro fighters.
by proflex on Dec 5, 2009 10:59 AM EST up reply actions 1 recs
Why did you remove Danzig’s? He was kind of being a dick. He talking a lot of shit, for someone who lost 3 in a row. He’s talking about someone don’t deserve to be in the UFC, he should be fortunate that he has TUF Immunity.
by The Bronzeville Bully on Dec 5, 2009 10:42 AM EST reply actions
Lindland deserves the benefit of the doubt, I mean the guy is a little retarded after the Belfort fight.
just reread the comments
Danzig is clueless, first, Kimbo would just beat him in “da streets” He’d cream Danzig anywhere they decided to fight. Second, why is the Kimbo/Houston fight a dumb one? Danzig should focus on his career, cause if he posts another L he’s looking for work outside the UFC, Well in all honesty, he’s probably looking for work as we speak, even if the contract isn’t up yet, he’s done nothing impressive in the UFC to date, no reason to keep him around.
No love for Chael's response?
Chael Sonnen: I think Matt Hamill vs. Jon Jones is a great fight and I can’t wait to see it.
:)
i thought it was hilarious, but i love chael’s unpopular awkwardness, whereas most people hate it

Regarding Lindland
Matt,
That is exactly how I feel about you!
Someone replace Mac Danzig as the well spoken jerk, tell Sherdog that Dan Hardy is a far better candidate for that role, at least Hardy has a successful career ahead of him.

What's the deal with Danzig?
Im surprised he’s still around the way the the UFC has been letting fighters go lately for two losses in a row. Or in Jake Rosholt’s case, going loss-win-loss…
I guess they really don’t want to let a TUF winner go…
It’s three in a row for Danzig. First he lost by UD to Guida, then he got triangle choked by Josh Neer (who the UFC let go), and then Danzig just lost by UD to Jim Miller in a very bloody fight (the blood being from Danzig getting GnPed by Miller). Danzig needs to drop to 145 and go to the WEC.
Yeah
I know that he’s lost three in a row. I was saying that there are other fighters that are being let go from the UFC and aren’t on three fight losing streaks.
Neer lost his last two fights and is now gone from the UFC. SO why is he gone and Danzig is still there?
I agree, maybe Danzig dropping to 145 is a good idea. Maybe he won’t have to go to the WEC if they merge with the UFC anyways.
I have a lot more respect for Houston Alexander than I do Mac Danzig. Any guy that gives up a kidney to save a child is OK in my book.
Mac Danzig can take his ‘holier than thou’ attitude and shove it.
Exactly
Houston is a class act, fuck Danzig even though he has the same name as a cool singer.
Hadoken!!
I’m not sure what to think about Houston, the kidney thing is great and he probably is a good guy but that whole standing over guys screaming at them after you knock them out just rubs me wrong.

what about anthony johnson's chest pounding?
Lesnar’s antics?
Thiago Silva pointing at jardine’s corpse?
I personally couldn’t care less about how people celebrate.. Their adrenaline is pumping and people handle excitement differently, so as long as they don’t keep on doing that days/months after the excitement wears off then I don’t care…
Now, if you’re still talking shit, still bad mouthing your opponent, and being an all around douche on a normal basis, then that’s a different story..

I like the way Sokoudjou and Rampage celebrate: by repeatedly striking a downed opponent after the bell had rung.

Houston fights with emotions. On Sports Science, his coach worked him into such a frenzy that he began crying from rage. I’m not too bothered by it, so long as the emotions don’t cause him to keep wailing on someone when the ref stops it.

Houston was the nicest fighter I ever met in person even going as far as to talk to my friend on the phone when he found out that he was a fan and couldnt make the trip because his dad was ill. He also said he had the best job in the world and he loves all of his fans. I’ll always root for him.
Giving Shogun his props. I had the fight 48-47 Machida but Shogun put up a monumental performance and I am honored to have seen it in person.
Danzig
a a jerk singer who was also a little overconfident in his own fighting abilities and got his ass handed to him more than once.
Isn’t Danzig like 5’2? It’s stupid to start a fight with that size. Either way, he’s still a great singer.

Danzig – Isn’t exactly overly successful at this point and can’t draw a cent for the UFC
Lindland – While good in the past is lacking now…and can’t draw a cent

When I first started following fighting (Fall ’05), MMA Weekly ranked Lindland #1MW in the world.

But
as far as wikipedia is concerned, Danzig is the face of MMA.

I always thought that was hilarious
The funny thing though is in a Slice-Lindland matchup I’m taking Lindland hands down.
by John Nash on Dec 5, 2009 4:56 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
If lindland keeps his hands down he might get knocked out!

Lindland is good until the fight has championship implications. He lost to Bustamante, Terrel, Rampage, and Belfort. He failed to qualify for the Olympics…until he sued, and even after he won the team the USOC didnt want him there. He lost his run for Oregon State Senate. He’s a choke artist and will never amount to anything but a mid level fighter in second tier organizations. He’s never beaten any top guys who were in their prime.
you forgot
bitingt some dudes ear while competing in the olympics, trying to cheat

Interesting. Considering what Danzig and Lindland were saying, you’d think they were talk about themselves.
I love me some Sexyama!
Danzig, wow….
Linland, really? O_o
And who are these other guys?
Anyway, I decided to look up one of Kimbos backyard fights and I come across his fight with Ray Mercer which I have never seen. My question is, where in the world has this Kimbo been??? That was just plain weird! Takedowns, MuayThai, Subs oh my! lol

I’ve never seen any Kimbo backyard fights. None. Streetfighting/backyard fighting just doesn’t interest me. I Just started looking some up today and that’s when I came across that fight.

well that was his first MMA fight.
although I think they only counted it as an exhibition match so technically, the one against Cantrell was the first.

well any fighter with MMA training going against someone with absolutely no mma training
will look well rounded and skilled over the other guy.. haha. too bad big Timmy got KOed by that guy.

If Houston had a chin he would fuckin kill Kimbo… Kimbo couldnt even knock out James “the glass Jaw” Thompson so houston is still probably gonna kill him.
Kimbo Slice is dunn datta. As soon as this fight gets in the clinch The black santa will be unconscious.
It’s, done dada. Just to be clear.

I have to say...
that I actually agree with everything Danzig said.
BTW, how the hell to do 6 "pro"s think Kimbo is going to take this?
This is one of those fights that afterwards everyone stands around going “how did we talk ourselves into thinking this was going to be competitive?”
Walked right into what?
I like Danzig as a fighter and would like to see him do well.
BUT I don’t agree with much of what he said
yeaher
Not necessarily you specifically.
Danzig prefaced his comments by admitting he was going to try to upset fans on the internet. Evidently, he succeeded.
FWIW, you and I are on the same page w/r/t the UFC’s inconsistent cutting policy.
by JRN on Dec 5, 2009 3:28 PM EST up reply actions
Sounds good to me.
I know that they keep some fighters vs others because they’re more exciting and whatnot.
e.g. Houston, McFedries(is he still with the UFC?)
I just wonder their reasoning some of the time. Probably the same as you.
Just wondering
How uncomfortable do you think it is when Sonnen and Lindland roll and end up in back control, mount or north-south? Probably a lot of throat clearing when that’s over..

frustrating when comments get deleted. especially when they aren’t even close to fighter bashing. well I guess it was “close” to fighter bashing if you mean my post’s proximity to other posts that actually do bash fighters… and are still visible.
excuse me while I was the sand out of my vagina.
lol I imagined you saying your intital comment, leaving the room and then coming back in to yell “SAND OUT OF MY VAGINA”.
