Manny Pacquiao signs to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in boxing's biggest fight on March 13th:

"The source disclosed the fight will take place at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds for Pacquiao's title."

... "The camps agreed to a 50-50 split of the money, which could be gargantuan. Many experts expect the fight to eclipse the all-time pay-per-view record for sales, which is the 2.44 million buys generated by Mayweather's 2007 victory against Oscar De La Hoya."

This is awesome news! I’m not even a big fan of boxing, but I’m fired up to see this. Should be epic. Gotta root for Manny!

I don’t really care to watch Mayweather dance around the ring for however many rounds.

I realize that this means I’m not a boxing fan, but I couldn’t agree with you more. I damn near fell asleep watching Floyd v. Oscar.

Not a Machida fan either, I guess?

…Or Octagon control.

I love Machida. There’s a big difference because to me, it seems like Floyd acts like he’s boxing’s greatest gift, and talks all sorts of trash about everybody as if he’s gone in there and really put on a show. Hatton/Gatti were the only times he really impressed me with what he’s done in the ring. Not saying he’s not talented but I don’t watch boxing to watch him consciously avoid fighting for half the bout.

After thinking about it a bit more, it does sound an awful lot like what people were saying about Machida and I flamed them for it. But the essential difference here is the approach – Lyoto was/is extremely humble. Mayweather…not so much.

YUSSSSSSS!

I really hope Manny takes this.. but I think Mayweather might be a bad matchup for him.

Oh good lord it’s sooner than expected.

Please Manny mess his face up. Thanks.

Should be good, IF…Mayweather actually decides to exchange.

if he's smart, he won't

Mayweather can knock ppl out, but defense is what makes him great

For someone that has not any complete Mayweather fights, what is a good one to check out?

About the same as pacquiao – cotto. Pacquiao will weigh in around 142-144 and Mayweather will weigh in at 147. The size will not be a factor and if Pacquiao were to lose should not be used as an excuse.

I haven’t purchased a boxing ppv in around 3-4 years…. I will be purchasing this one because it’s finally what everyone wants to happen instead of squash matches.

Cannot wait for this fight; holy crap.
