Dynamite!! 2009 Preview: Quote of the Day: Tatsuya Kawajiri Asks the Ref To Be Ready
"Referees, be sure to step in and stop the fight on time tomorrow, because I might get carried away in the moment and my many punches may end up destroying my opponent."

I love it when Crusher talks shit. Aoki comes off like a total clown when he does it, but not Kawajiri.

Yeah--
I wish they were fighting one another.

I love Japanese MMA smack talk, it’s so much more entertaining.
The mat is my church, the ground is my heaven, Jiu-Jitsu is my religion. And once you hit the ground you're in my world. My world is like the ocean, I’m like a shark and most people don't even know how to swim - Draculino
I agree
Here’s what we have in America:
Rich Franklin: I don’t want my fights going to a decision, so I’ll do everything possible to win this fight.
Kenflo: I finish fights.
Mir: (Something about limbs)
Forrest: …I’m the guy for that.
Everyone else: I’m the better fighter. When I win, it will put me in the mix for a title shot.
You’re suggesting that fighters have different mentalities by hemisphere? Totally!

Are people not allowed to have opinions anymore?
Most of those guys listed are a boring promo. That’s all I’m saying.
Sorry if I was too anti-MMA for you. I expect a snide lecture/comment forthcoming like you do with everyone.
Eh..
Wasn’t I asserting my opinion? Logic fail.

Doesn’t his foreshadowing negate the “in the moment” reference?

Shitchyeah
My friends think I’m crazy, but I think that Crusher has the best chance of any non-UFC fighter of besting BJ Penn. It’s still not a high chance, persay, but I think he poses the biggest threat outside of Zuffa.

Gotta say
I agree. Strong wrestler, good power, decent striking, and he might be the only Japanese fighter to actually cut weight. Ishida makes me cringe when I watch him fight. He belongs in the bantamweight division, not lightweight.
