MMA Fight Council Christmas Wish!

I really have one wish this Christmas, as far as MMA goes. I want to see ALL of us become more united.

What do I mean by that, you ask? Well, I know that if every one of us could get together in a room, or on a call, we would talk about MMA for hours. We would share our deep passion for the sport that we love. It would be like we were long lost brothers/sisters, and would hardly notice the color of our skin, wouldn't know or care what we did for work, or where we went to school, or what kind of car we drive, etc. We would talk about the origins of the sport, our personal rankings, favorite fighters, techniques, promotions, fights that have happened, are going to be happening, and should happen. We would talk about the dedication, discipline, hard work and courage that EVERY fighter has to have to get into the cage/ring. We'd discuss who, if anyone, we think can beat B.J. Penn at 155, GSP at 170, and the Spider at 185.

You get my point by now...I hope! If you're anything like me, we'd talk for hours upon hours without growing tired of the subject of MMA.

Now, take us out of the "room," and you might hate Dana White and/or the UFC, or Strikeforce, or Bellator, or ALL Japanese promotions. You might ridicule Kalib Stearns (OK, scratch that one), or older fighters, or younger fighters, or ground guys, or stand up guys. You might love Bloody Elbow, but cannot stand any other MMA sites. You might think that everyone who writes about MMA but doesn't fight, is worthless. Maybe you don't like black fighters, or Asian fighters, or white fighters. You might think people who embrace the MMA culture, and wear a TapouT shirt are foolish.

Hopefully, you still get my point!

I say, "let's all get in that 'room' and be one!" You don't have to like everything that I like, and I don't have to like everything that you like. Let's all support each other, and everyone who shares our passion. Let's make the voice of MMA a loud one. One that more and more people will be attracted to, and accepting of.

There you have it, the MMA Fight Council Christmas Wish!

If you care to read our brief Christmas greeting to all of you, please check it out at http://mmafightcouncil.com/blog/?p=58 .

At the end of it is a link to my all time favorite Christmas song by TSO along with an insane light show!

You overlook the fact that we, as MMA fans, are all innately douchebags.

We're just a million little gods causin' rain storms, turning every good thing to rust.
