I'm saving the year-end message for the actual end of the year, so I'll keep this brief.
All I ask on this short respite from accustomed daily normalcy is that you enjoy your holidays, however you celebrate them. I hope that as we take a quick breath from the grind of covering this sport of human combustion that your holidays are both safe and satisfying. And I ask that as we reflect on the enormous changes and challenges we experienced in 2009, we also begin to prepare ourselves for what promises to be an equally difficult and rewarding 2010.
I also expect those among us who received interesting MMA-related gifts to share their stories or pictures in the comments.

Well i’d been telling myself i wanted to get into training mma instead of just talking about it, so my girlfriend bought me a 3 month membership for Xmas to a local fight gym. Then she bought me almost every product over at DefenseSoap because she found out what MRSA was.

No, not really
It’s a more resistant form of staph, but it’s not just staph.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
is more dangerous the a common staph because it has genetically mutated to a form that doesnt respond to traditional antibiotic drugs used on staph. this makes MRSA (pronunced phonetically ‘Merca’) very erratic and dangerous
if that was too complicated just think SuperAIDS from south park =P

To the staff and mods, I wish you guys a great holiday season. You guys work hard to give the rest of us a one-stop place to find all the the information and entertainment that we crave, from this strange sport that we all love so much. Its a lot easier to bitch about disagreements and argue about nonsense than it is to take time to thank the people who make this site run so smoothly… So I hope you guys realize how much your work is appreciated.
To the rest of the BE nation, have a great time and enjoy the holidays in whatever way you see fit. There are some entertaining folks out there, some really smart folks who eat sleep and breathe MMA, and of course some knuckle-heads… but thanks to BE we all have a great place to come and inform ourselves and banter about the only thing that WE ALL have in common, our love for this sport.

If someone showed this when I was little, I’d probably would’ve been a better son as well as a man who accomplished great things in my life
I've always thought that lying to your children about Santa Claus is wrong, but I'm telling my children
about Wandy Claus. I’ll show them his fights against Rampage in PRIDE and tell them that Rampage was a bad kid that year and that’s what Wandy Claus decided to do to him because of it. I feel it’s very justified.

I got my Christmas present a month early from none other than Dana White. I got all the UFC’s up to 101, all the Fight Nights up to FN18, and all the Ultimate Fughters up to the UK vs US. Though I don’t post much I would like to say this is my go to site for all things MMA so thanks for the good work. For all the posters great job as well. I’ve never seen so much comic gold in one place.

Received fight gear for training, then got MRSA
I have been training for a couple weeks after taking a year off and my girlfriend bought me a bunch of fight shorts and rash guards only to find out i have MRSA. And i have to make sure it doesnt spread cause it is right by my ankle which has a metal plate and 8 screws after i broke my leg in march and if that gets infected i have to have the metal replaced. Really sucks.
