Vitor on fighting Anderson: I never dreamed of taking what belongs to others. My dream is to conquer that what is mine
Vitor Belfort was interviewed on December 8th, 2009 regarding his upcoming bout (although at the time still rumored) with Anderson "The Spider" Silva. Silva, according to Belfort, has been very saddened with the situation of fighting a former friend and training partner.

I’m rootin’ for Vitor. He’s right, as he so pointed out without being as big of a jerk as I am.
Anderson used to be humble, now he’s an ass. He definitely puts off that persona of “I’m better than you” waaaaaaay too much. Picking fights and such. It’s bad news bears, and I think a loss to Belfort would not only humble him, but ensure that he comes back as the best fighter to ever grace the octagon- and remain there for years to come.
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
Look, let’s not take this whole “Silva ducking fights” thing too seriously. The man doesn’t want to go into the ring with someone he cares about because he knows he will absolutely demolish them. Would you want to see one of your friends laying bloody and spasming on the ground after a brutal knockout?
im talkin bout stating that fights like marquardt or henderson is below him and such. It gives off the persona like he thinks hes better than everyone to me.
none of the refusing to fight lyoto or lil nog etc that udnerstandable
