Don Frye discusses UFC 109 and its main event of Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman:

"This might be the first UFC I buy and actually watch in about 10 years, you know?" Frye said. "These two guys, it's going to be one hell of a barnburner. They’re going to show these new guys how to fight."

Mortal?

After watching his fight with Takayama and the brutal fight with James Thompson I have come to the conclusion that against the punk he took shots that no mortal man should be capable of taking. How did he remain on his feet? I believe all recordings of these fights have been removed from public domains for fear that he would be revered as a deity and new religions would form in his image.

I wish they would hurry up and give us Frye vs Fedor :D

“If Tom was smart, he’d have me fighting Fedor instead of whoever he’s hiring on a one week notice,” Frye told MMAInsider. “My phone works if he wants a real fight with someone who sell a fight in four days, somebody who will beat that bald-headed commie too.”
“He ain’t seen anything I have to offer,” continued Frye. “He built his whole reputation (as a) waffle house chef. They’ve been serving him up ham and eggs with a side of canned tomatoes. I’ll bring it. And if he can bring it, you’ll have the best fight you’ve ever seen on the planet.”

Really?

Has he watched them fight recently? I don’t think so otherwise he would know neither of these guys do much but hug people nowadays

Frye made an analogy in which he compared Fedor to a Waffle House cook....

His mind has been gone for years, and that is why we love him.

Apparently, Don Frye really hasn’t watched a UFC fight in 10 years if he thinks Mark Coleman will participate in a barn burner.

haha yea sad but true

by JoLy on Dec 22, 2009 7:25 PM EST up reply actions

apparently you don’t appreciate how difficult it is to play possum. Randy will be lured into the same trap coleman set for shogun and bonnar. I don’t recognize the shogun fight as a loss. It was clearly an early stoppage, mostly because the ref also doesn’t understand how to play possum. Had he known, the ref would have clearly recognized that the hammer was about to pounce.

“You don’t come (to fighting) to quote movies or thank your sponsors,” Frye said. “You don’t come to have your fingernails or your toenails painted. Goddamn, you come to fight, not to be a fairy. Fight, that’s what these two old boys are going to do.”
